The tires I have get a lot of hate (F1 supercars), but they're nice and sticky. They don't last worth a crap, but that's the trade-off. I was so glad to get the winter ones swapped back for these in early March.

Once the 2 sets of F1s that I have wear out, I have no clue what I will get, but for an oem tire, they're pretty decent.

The Michelin Pilot Super Sport should fit your car and are HIGHLY rated. Rated higher than the Goodyear F1 Supercar tires. Better tread life too.

I've got dws contis on my Audi. Depends how much you care about tread life but they are supposed to last say 30k. Had pirelli p7 summer sports OEM and I actually think the extremecontact dws is nearly as grippy but quieter. Got mine at Americas tire for $650 after some $100 visa card and frre gps offer last labor day for 4. In 18/245/40

I run those tires on my car, pretty good tire overall. However, I feel like the dunlop star specs offer almost the same level of performance for quite a bit less so probably what I will go with again next time. Michelins are a bit quieter though.

I just replaced my wife's OEM tires (Pirelli P Zero 255/40/19) with the Michelin Pilot Super Sports (255/40/19) and they are a definite improvement. Awesome tires! The rear end no longer slides out from under me when making a tight turn (at relatively slow speeds), I get MUCH less wheel spin in 1st and none in 2nd, and no wheel hop. They are also very quiet and perform great in the rain. Overall, I'm just extremely impressed with the tires and if there is nothing better available when I go to replace them again, I'll definitely be purchasing them again.

If anyone is interested in the price of the tires, I actually got them at DiscountTire which had beat the TireRack price by quite a bit. They were $303 a piece (compared to TireRack's price of $360 per tire) with a $70 rebate (with the purchase of a set). So in total ~$1400. Not cheap, but what is the point of a sports car if you can't put down the power?

Wow, you guys spend a lot on tires... I plan on ordering a set of 275/40R17 Nitto 555's today for my Trans Am. $150/tire, and I thought that was expensive.

I usually go to discounttire because they are easy to work with but I got a good deal at TiresPlus. They switched my TPMS and mounted the new tires on a new rims and I was under $1400 OTD with 245/40/19 and 275/35/19 (huge).

I agree, but I won't blame them completely. Tires are just expensive.

I recently had to replace the tires on my truck (265/70R17). When I went shopping I was amazed at how many of the tires I was looking at were $200+ each.

I finally went back to the local dealer I had purchased my last set from and ended up with another set of Eldorados. I had thought the Eldorados were cheap when I bought them, but when I discovered they had lasted 6.5 years and 49600 miles, I bought another set.

First set was $500 out the door, this time they were $625 out the door.

The Michelins I had originally looked at were $240 each. lol

Performance tires are expensive, but they're also extremely important.

No tires, no go... No grip, no turn or acceleration... etc. That's why we spend a lot on tires.
