Tired of food

Based off of this thread, does anyone ever get tired of food. I obviously am not missing any meals, but with my hectic schedule I have become tired of picking what to eat, cooking (or getting it), and actually eating it. Too bad there is not a food suppliment that you could take in a couple of seconds to properly (completely) replace having to eat.

Now don't get me wrong, I usually enjoy good food, but there are times (maybe a few weeks at a time) that I view food as a chore.

Is this crazy?

I don't like food. But I'm still sort of fat. I have a horrible metabolism.

I very much agree, OP. Finding things to eat is a huge pain. I don't like a whole lot of foods and often nothing is appealing so I just end up eating dry Cheerios for dinner or something.

No, I never get tired of food.
If I don't want to cook I'll go out or get something that can be delivered.

But then you have to decide what you feel like eating and go get it or order it = hassle.

i definitely know what you're talking about... my wife has this issue as well. she just hates deciding what to eat. if i decide, she has no problem cooking it up, but it seems like the decision is extremely laborious for her.

It really isn't that much of a chore to decide on something.

I also always keep some steaks and chicken frozen that I can just thaw and throw on the grill. Nothing is easier than that.

i know Sheepathon never gets tired of food either.

Poor Sheep. Him = teh banned.

I do sometimes feel like that also. A lot of times I want something easy to make but not something I've ever had before. Maybe need to find one of those cookbooks with the 5-10 minute prep recipes. I'm pretty sure I've heard of at least one.

Yah. You've got no time for some good nourishing food, but you certainly have time to post this thread...lol

If you're really that tired then go to bed or take nap on the couch.

Oh wait, you're talking about being tired of trying to figure out what to eat. I never really considered this a chore. I usually have an idea what I would like to eat, then go to the fridge or the pantry and see if we have it or not. If it's not there, I drive to the New Braunfels Rudy's BBQ for some nice lean brisket and cream corn.
Oh crap, you people have got me all worked up......MUST HAVE RUDY'S ! ! ! ! !>>>>>>>> I'M OUT'A HERE FOR BBQ >>>>RUDY'S! >>>>>>RUDY'S! >>>>>

OK, maybe take out the hectic schedule part. I guess I am just not wanting to think about picking what I want to eat. Might be getting better though, I ate some decent Chinese food for lunch so I am feeling more food-optimistic.

My father has not been able to take food orally for several months due to a cancerous mass closing his esophagus.

He has a Jejunum tube and a pump which delivers Ensure with Fiber You can buy Ensure from Costco or Walmart and keep it in your desk drawer. 8 cans a day for a 2000 calorie diet.

It can repalce food completely.

I get bored with having to eat. Wish I could replace my stomach with a nuclear power pack, or some other energy source.

I never have cravings like I used to. I never enjoy anything like I used to. I can never decide what I would like to eat. I understand.

actually I've found that to be true!

Try going on a diet, just don't eat as much, than it's more of a treat when you do eat. Don't snack all day, eat at your meal times. Your body will get used to eating then, and will feel like eating at those times . Try new (relatively)exotic foods. If you get yourself in a rut of hamburger helper, go buy some fish, make a nice salad. Eat Fresh.

The times when I have gotten sick of food are when I eat at fast food restaurants to often, or am buying poor quality food. Spend a little more, and get some good quality food. You really do just need perspective.

If you dont feel like eating skip a meal, unless you are one of the lower percentage americans who is rail thin, and doesnt eat enough....

also, I think a powerbar/ensure/slimfast shake works as a meal replacement if you dont want to eat.
