This thread is so stupid, there arent even any 780 benchmarks yet and this guy already has buyers remorse lol!!

It's rage feign. He knew full well he was paying an EXTREME premium for owning the fastest single GPU in the world. And it still will be even after GTX 780 launches according to these rumored specs.

If the GTX780 launched and was faster than a Titan for less money, I'm right behind the Lepton. But this? Rage Feign.

This. Also to make matters worse my overclocked 7950 is within spitting distance of the titan and it cost me $260.

I don't see how the new flagship card launching at a price similar to the last flagship card should give you buyer's remorse for a titan purchase. Did you not know what the flagship card went for during the last refresh? If you think a $5-$600 780 means you paid too much for your titan, you should have known you paid too much for your titan when you bought it,

I would be very surprised if compute is not gimped in 780. Especially if it comes out at the 5-600$ mark.

I do not feel sorry for anybody that bought a Titan. I mean, you paid a THOUSAND dollars for a video card that was not $500 faster than a 7970 or 680. Even at 600-650 I think the 780 is over priced as well. But I am sure people will buy them.

This is the best sentiment. Whatever your budget for stuff like this, if you're not spending an amount of money that you are comfortable with being gone altogether, you're spending too much.

A Titan is nothing compared to that $5000-$10000 you lose the moment you sign and drive off in your new car. Besides, apart from the price being a shocker, the card is a real beast. Compare it to the GTX 580 and you see the best flagship performance increase in a long time, it's almost as good as what we saw with the 8800GTX compared to the past generation. It's a really good card, just really over-priced.

Actually, I would say it was more like the 8800 Ultra. The Ultra had a pretty huge price premium compared to the GTX, even though it was essentially the same card, with a little better components. Folks didn't mind paying for it, and many STILL bought it when the 8800GT and GTS were released at 25-30% of the price, for 80% of the performance (sound familiar?).

I'm hoping to see some "cheap" Titans hit the market. However, even with GTX 780, I don't see anything cheaper than $800 for a Titan even used being a reality anytime soon. And I'd also look for one that can clock beyond 7000mhz on the memory stable so I could keep the extra bandwidth my current card is already capable of providing, in SLI. I'm just not sure of what I'd pair them with (need PCI-e 3.0 8x at minimum for Titan). Haswell seems like such a downer that there's no way I'm buying a new motherboard for that. So it'll likely either be a 3770 or Ivy-E...
