You're postulating, which is fine, but without actual numbers no one knows.
7970's, even the super clocked models, are much better values at the moment. Unfortunately Titan just doesn't offer anything over my current set up to make me consider getting one, and I'd actually lose a lot of functionality. Add a whole lot of nothing for a high price and the suggestion to buy one becomes ludicrous. I'm amazed that 15 months after I got my 7970 there's still nothing to upgrade too. This is the longest I've ever used one video card.
AMD is shit. They only thing they have over Nvidia at the moment is that their cards print free money and Nvidia's cards print significantly less free money.
If these cards in my sig didn't print me free money I would be on a 460 still .

I have a modified bios with a power target of 150%. My card runs nearly the whole time at 1134MHz. Comparing with others 7970GHz at 1200MHz my card shows a lead of 35%-60%.

You have no idea how many cards they are allocating for titan/tesla so you claim that due to the trickle factor it's selling like crazy which is just bs/speculation.
They have been trickling in constantly and could be purchased at any time.
Every time this gets brought up I take a look and can easily find titans on the shelf.

that is an increase of slightly over 15%, performance won't go up that much because titan is bandwidth limited. It's really embarrassing for NV that to increase the clocks by 15% you have to flash unofficial BIOS and lose warranty.There are even custom made VBIOS for Titan which many use today which have 1150MHz running 24/7 without much temp increase.

One thing we quickly notice about Titan is that thanks to GPU Boost 2 and the shift from what was primarily a power based boost system to a temperature based boost system is that Titan hits its maximum speed bin far more often and sustains it more often too, especially since there’s no longer a concept of a power target with Titan, and any power limits are based entirely by TDP. Half of our games have an average clockspeed of 992MHz, or in other words never triggered a power or thermal condition that would require Titan to scale back its clockspeed. For the rest of our tests the worst clockspeed was all of 2 bins (26MHz) lower at 966MHz, with this being a mix of hitting both thermal and power limits.
On a side note, it’s worth pointing out that these are well in excess of NVIDIA’s official boost clock for Titan. With Titan boost bins being based almost entirely on temperature, the average boost speed for Titan is going to be more dependent on environment (intake) temperatures than GTX 680 was, so our numbers are almost certainly a bit higher than what one would see in a hotter environment.

Right, and CB takes that into account in their chart. At "warmed up" temps the Titan leads the 7970 by 22%. At ~1000Mhz, the lead is 36%.
Hardware France got a 12% lead at "warmed up" temps and 18% at 1000Mhz.
Again, your math doesn't work out. If the average performance delta between Titan@~1000Mhz and the 7970GHz@1050Mhz is 18-36% (same delta as Titan@1150 and 7970@1200), where are you getting 35-60% faster on average?
Did you really expect me to find any official sales number on the GTX Titan? LOL. Find me the exact sales number of 7970 please.
And please, there are always places that have any GPU in stock. The fact that Newegg is outsold speaks volumes.
Did you know that EVGA have their shop really close to Nvidia HQ? No you didnt. They get steady shipment from them. So they don`t count.
The fact is that Nvidia completely destroy AMD in mobile GPU sales. The Nvidia desktop GPU department have almost 3x the revenue as the AMD GPU department. No wonder though, since AMD can`t make stable CF drivers. But keep on crying. Everyone knows that AMD GPUs are crappy ever since the first latency reviews came out.

Titan gets faster as you start applying extreme AA and play at eyefinity resolutions.
That's true but not by much at all. From the same CB review, the lead at 5760x1080 4xAA increases by 3% at normal temps and 0% at 1000Mhz.
IIRC I saw a chart where Titan can play Crysis 3 at extreme high resolutions where as both 7970 CF and 690 fails.Have anyone tried playing Wither 2 with ubersampling on @ eyefinity resolutions?
And sales of 7970's completely DESTROY Titan sales ...

This thread smells of nvidia butt hurt because the prophlot that Titan would always be sold out and impossible to find had a half life of one week from release before it ended. Like I've said before to the acolytes, Titan is in stock for retail MSRP any time you want one at multiple etailors, all the time.
The irony here is that every time you go to well known retailers Like newegg it's sold out.
Smells more like amd/7970 than anything else.
