Tmobile and ATT Phone deals...

Hmmmm, There are some pretty good deals from Tmobile... I am currently with ATT and really don't want to switch but I think I will try them out and if I can't get good reception I'll just return them. My AT&T contract is expiring soon and I'm kinda looking for a family plan. I heard that T-mobile was pretty good in the NW area...

I was about to order a T-mobile phone (the wife works there) and found this deal. I ordered the phone through them. I should get it tomorrow, so I'll let y'all know how it works out. FYI, the rebate expires on the 15th of this month.

I just finished my AT&T 1-year contract and called to find out what sort of perks I could get if I committed to another year. They gave me pretty much the same deal as you mention for T-Mobile.

National plan (no roaming, no long-distance), 800 anytime, unlimited nights and weekends, $40/month. The plan is their 500 minute national plan, plus 300 promotional anytime minutes for the new contract. And according to the rep I spoke to, I could convert my plan to GSM at any time without a contract exit penalty, and still get any of the phone discounts that apply to new contracts, and still keep all the promotional minutes.

This was a hot deal for me. And don't forget the 60 minute credit (for the Northeast blackout) floating around in another thread here.

I just ordered one phone. So far so good. In fact, about 1 hour after I ordered I had an email sent to me with my Fed-Ex tracking number. I ordered overnight delivery so I'll let you know tomorrow if I get it with everything they advertised. On a side note, they advertise that on their site that you get a free handsfree set, making it appear like it's a seperate item from the phone. All T-Mobile phones come with a Jabra type handsfree set already in the box. I don't think they would be giving me one in addition to the one already there. I don't know if it says much about their rep, but the way they worded it seems kind of shady to me.

I've been reading up (in another thread) on how Verizon has the high-speed (144kbps) internet connectivity that you can use with any plan and all it uses up is your normal minutes. I guess many of the picture-phones need this connection and so the phones have to be able to use it. I currently have ATT, and I was wondering what they have as far as data connectivity. Anything like this? Do they even have the 144kbps service?

Got my phone just a little bit ago. It was already activated which is nice. It could have been packaged a little bit better but it's not really that big of a deal. They did advertise the "free" handsfree set like they threw in themselves. It even lists it on the invoice as a $9.99 accessory that they gave to me for free. All in all though I am happy with it.

I just tried to get that plan and they knew nothing about it. They searched for 45 minutes throught he cancellation dept, customer retention, etc....nothing. You sure it's $40/month ($39.95 I assume you meant)?

Don't forget... T-mobile offers unlimited internet access for $10 a month. Couple this with a Blue-tooth phone and a PDA w/ Bluetooth and it R-O-C-K-S!

I've been looking at the T-mobile site and the deal is there, 1000 min plan with N/W etc... It must depend on the zip code you enter. I've also tried the AT&T version. I'm returning it tomorrow because it's as bad as people say, probably even worse.
