As many as you can buy. And ditto; there's no point in buying a WiFi-only tablet anymore with this plan. 200MB is more than enough for checking your e-mail or running navigation apps, especially since your tablet can cache most of the assets on WiFi.
Not sure if serious...
I'm an unlimited data T-Mobile customer and can already tether my Nexus to the WiFi-only tablet.
Why should I pay $100 for the same LTE capable tablet when I can already do the same thing without the data limit?
Only buy Nexus phones from Google Play and stop buying carrier phones.
You can tether for free without running any hacks.
The only people that benefit on this plan are people on AT&T/Verizon/Sprint networks that want to get a taste of what T-Mobile data coverage is like which they will with this free data deal.
This is game changer for LTE tablets. I think it makes sense now to buy LTE tablets over Wifi versions going forward. The price premium of LTE now can be justified.
Not for me.
I can get the same exact speeds by tethering my phone to the WiFi tablet without paying $100+ for an LTE model.
So I should now buy a Nexus 7 LTE with this news?
Depends on what plan you have with your phone...
If you're already on T-Mobile unlimited 4G data, no. Tether your phone to the WiFi tablet.
If you're already on Verizon grandfathered unlimited 4G data, no. Tether your phone to the WiFi tablet.
If you'e on AT&T, it's a bit iffy because AT&T doesn't have a "true" unlimited 4G data plan.
If you're on Sprint which is dog slow, hell yes you should get the Nexus 7 LTE.
I'm surprised people are so much excited about this news that they even want to spend an extra $100-150 for the LTE model tablets from Google, Apple, Samsung, and what have you.
The only people this appeals to are people from other carriers, or people who still buy carrier phones and don't have unlimited 4G with T-Mobile.
