I disagree, that would give AZ the ball on the kickoff with over 2:00 to play with all 3 timeouts, if GB gets it in there it's all over.
Arizona took over at the 1 yard line. Before the final drive started, I was expecting overtime. I doubt that computer models of the situation would predict the Cardinals to mostly drive 99 yards for a win (but it's one of the possibilities). The ESPN model had the Packers as 73% to win as the drive began. That ending was...........damn, that ending! Green Bay SHOULD have scored when they were at the 1 yard line...twice, put an end to it. A field goal would have given them enough points to stop OT if AZ came back with a field goal, but a TD would still have won the game. I get why they tried on 4th down. Arizona SHOULD have won the game once they took the ball away from GB on downs. SHOULD HAVE. (but thankfully, AJ Green blew the play.)
FWIW I like the Packers going for it on 4th down, but when they needed just a yard, why not go to the power back AJ Dillon? Aaron Jones is great, but he's less suited for getting a yard.
My post was made in the context of the beginning of that last drive, where he missed the second down thrown. Then there was that potential big play to Kirk earlier he misfired badly on.Although you can't blame that last play all on him. Wtf kind of drugs was Green on not even turning around lol?
And whoever called that play gets an assist .... that was a time to be careful with the football.
Could well be, but after Jones got stuffed on 1st down, I'm going with Dillon and telling him his job is on the line LOL.I think they have trust issues with Dillon and fumbling because I was thinking the same thing.
For Butler to get to that pass was great, to block off Lockett and actually hang onto it was insane, one of the top 3 defensive plays in SB history.Kliff Kingsbury said the final play was an audible, and Kyler Murray and AJ Green just weren't on the same page.
He also admitted that DeAndre Hopkins was supposed to be out of the game, but personally checked himself in a couple times.
Dammit, Packers lose Tonyan for the season.

As a Packers fan, what I wasn't really expecting were the big chunk yards that the Cardinals got to easily get into scoring position. Sure the defense is always gassed at the end of games, but they were collapsing like a proverbial cheap tent.
What we ended up getting was an improbable ending, somewhat reminiscent of Malcolm Butler's fantastic interception of Russell Wilson in a classic Super Bowl. Unlike Butler's play, this INT was sheer luck.
That was Ricardo Lockette...nowadays, Seattle has Tyler Lockett. For Butler to get to that pass was great, to block off Lockette and actually hang onto it was insane, one of the top 3 defensive plays in SB history.
