TNT2 Ultra or Geforce 2MX?

I am looking for a budget video card. I have found the TNT2 Ultra 32MB and Geforce 2MX 32MB for around $100. Which is the better performer? The card will be installed in a Duron 700 system.

I will make it easy, I had a TNT card, which I sold & upgraded to a Geforce2 MX.

Or, go get the GeForce DDR from the computer geek guys for $100. Thats what I'm about to do. I'm going to put the DDR card in my PIII 733 and my Prophet MX card in my Celeron 500

Go to 3dmark result database,
you'll find that geforce2 mx is over 4000 3dmarks in a duron system,
while tnt2u is over 3000, 1000 difference.

Unless you can get a ultra for $70, that could be considerable.

forgot the post but there was post warning about dealing with compgeeks. he talked about how their service got bad recently and still didnt get a working product after a month or so. make sure they will deliver(fast) what u orderd.

For what it's worth... I've ordered a couple of items from compgeeks in the last month. Had very good transactions.

Spend $50 more and get 86% more performance in
Quake in 32 bit colour at 1024x768, Matrox 2D quality,
and better 3D detail.

it's still pretty fast today - over 3000 3dmark.

The MX is a no-brainer - especially with 32MB DDR MX's going for $100-120!

stay away from mx with ddr. slower than sdr version. annihilator2mx with ddr is a good example.
