To all SoB crunchers who could use some help!!!

Hi guys,

I've got a i7 @ 2.8 GHz that currently is crunching for OberonBob in SoB 24 hours a day. I crunched for him since early june.

I hoped to get his attention by adding some power to his account, so he could climb one or two place maybe (from the already respectable 24th place he is already in) and he would enter the forums again since he left in end 2004! But he didn't show up here, yet. I did send him a private msg, but I sadly didn't receive an answer.

Now I think it is time to move on to help someone else in our team.
Who wants me to help him/her to rise some places in the rankings and maybe get into the top50 or top100 overall if you are not already there?
The i7 delivers on average somewhere between 2.8 and 3.2T.

I don't mind who it is, as long as it is for TA.

Why am I doing this, you might think?
Well, it would take me a long time to get anywhere decent in the rankings, if I have to start from scratch. I don't like that idea. In my opinion it is better to get some TA-members up the ranks by joining efforts and helping out where I can.

Whoever shows his/her interest and really wants to climb the ranks, is getting the output of this machine. Consider it a gift to TA. :gift:

I should mention, the PrimeGrid people have something against collected accounts. But an i7 in PrimeGrid would make quite an impact all on its own. I'm running a Q9400 with 64-bit Linux on a slightly different sub-project, and I get over 7,000 Cobblestones/day from it!

Am now adding myself to TA. :thumbsup:

Sorry i didn't respond sooner though... i meant to.
That was a nice offer you made & i thought about it for a bit but decided not to take you up on it. I'm nearing 1P & figured at this point i might as well get there myself.

I created the TeAmDeception.Net (SoB) & TeAm_Deception.Net (F@H) accounts after SETI classic was done, in the hopes they would be a mini-teams for us that used to hang out over at that forum. Several of us crunched F@H but no one seemed interested in numbers so i'm the only one on the SoB "TeAm".

so your the Guy who's been doing that (LOL) I've always had a hunch someone was crunching for him.

Hehe, it was fun doing it. Now that i7 is doing both docking@home and GPUgrid at the same time. The latter is only working on the GTX260 card. Docking is keeping the 4 processors busy.

Am still dumping some WU's for AMD-Borg once in awhile in DPAD. :evil:
That's why there was a sudden spike in his output on the 22nd of July of ~19 million. :gift:
It is from a machine at work, where BOINC can't be installed. Muon works good though.

It certainly is. Was on for a while but then lost my bearings again. Now, I'm slowly getting back into the habit of checking stats and the forum again.

Maybe it is fun to make a mini-team in SoB with a few old TA-members, but mainly new ones.
Then, our goal would be to try to match the output of IJump or whoever is producing the most each day. Also trying to get to the No. 1 spot would be a real challenge. :Q
Such a goal would definitely help in recruiting new blood into TA.
