That agreement aside, though, there are a FEW DPC'ers that are welcome to visit because they are polite and have something worthwhile to say.

DPC'ers, I understand your fear! But DanC is not someone I would accuse of lying! For instance, if I said I was asslaminating my entire company (50-60 thousand machines), then you could rightly slap me with a trout and tell me to quit living in a dream world. But if DanC says he is going to put the client on 112,000,000 MHz of P3 power ... Well, kiss your dreams of #1 goodbye. DanC delivers!

Where I come from(Bavaria) this country are called the same like Packers fans(but not in good mood) and are known for the following virtues: blocking our Autobahn at least five times a year with damn trailer-pulling, @sshole-driven, slow cars(generalizing but true), running around in wooden shoes(prejudice, not true), always putting up fights @ soccer games(true, but not as bad as the English)) and sending their worst showmasters to our TV(true).

This is NOT a country discussion.....This IS about distributed computing, TEAM Anandtech, The DPC, Dan's assimilation and trolling.....

What does it matter what country is involved in DC.....We are all equal....period!!!

Let's put the flames to rest and run the race (or battle, war, or what ever it is in your mind). If Dan gets the assimilations...GREAT....If Dan can't or doesn't want too...GREAT...Because Dan is still a valued member (and friend to myself) of this team, with or without the assimilations....Team Anandtech is still the team that the DPC will have to take the #1 spot away from whether or not Dan gets those assimilations...PERIOD! It will be easier without the assimilations, but it would still have to be done either way...

TEAM Anandtech and the DPC are in a very good competition....Dan might just swing it our way for a while (or permanently...who knows)...But why fight and worry and flame over it....Just do your best for your respective team and let the cards fall where they may....(IMO: Hopefully for Team Anandtech )...

Here's a short reply to what I thought could do no harm.

There will always be people who misunderstand other people or people that just aren't that well-educated and take other people's words as an insult. It's a common thing that happens when you communicate with a lot of different people and it's even more common when those people don't have the same native tongue. (I'm not saying there was no insult Dan, because there was)

Unfortunately as innocent as this thread started so ugly it became. Therefore I want to give all the dutch DPC members who are posting in this and any other thread located at the TA forum something to think about:

When I created this thread I was not really sure if I should hit the &quot;OK&quot; button so I re-read my writing and changed a couple of remarks. Then I did it again and again and again just to make very sure that none of the readers (of any origin) could be offended. Then after an hour or so (and this is not exaggerated) I finally posted my thread. It took me so long because I thought :frown: and because I care about proper communication. (Even this reply takes me about 45 minutes because of the re-reading ).

Let me rephrase:

If I visit my acqaintance's/friend's house I don't start calling him names or tell him he's a liar/a##hole/j#rk etc.... I'll behave and see that I don't make a mess of the place because I would certainly not want him to do these things in my house. If I dislike someone I just don't visit his place at all but I just ignore him.

So the next time you post something anywhere on this forum please re-read your text and think about how you would feel if the things you're saying had your name on it. If you don't like it, re-write it and put it in such a way that you're very sure not to offend anyone.

If you don't like TA then stay out of their forums. Is that so hard, staying out of something you dislike?

Altough I'm not one of TA's members I enjoy reading your threads because you have a great sense of humor and your jokes and cynicism are delecately placed . I'm sure I'll spend a lot of time here in the future as I did in the near past. Enjoy life and good luck with the cow-thing.

Thank you very much DeJa. I think that this is something that all of us TAers should do before we respond to a what we might consider a DPC troll. Mandrill obviously did this before he wrote his eloquent responce. I didn't do this and have since edited my remarks.

We should all work to return civility to these forums. Especially in relation to the DPC whether they are trolls or not.

Let me say this...
I have a great deal of respect and admiration for many of the DPC. Deja is one of them. There are others I am not nearly so enamored with... but hey, that's life right?
To those who will be mannerly - and that doesn't even mean a BWAH isn't in order if properly executed - you are welcome.
I suspect you would dislike trolling in your forum as well.
