good luck to you all.... hopefully no one gets hurt. I still think it'd be cool to be down there near where it hits... (or directly in its path, as long as I'm away from the storm surge)

Well... This pretty much sucks. Been without power twice in the last 8 hours for about 3 hours at a time. Hot as hell w/o AC. I've cranked down the A/C and the frig while the power is back on just in case it dies again. I'm hoping the house and the frig can hold in the extra cold. :-(

Wish a hurricane would hit here, im bored.
No you don't. Try spending 2 days in 95 degree Florida heat hanging storm panels and plywood for all your family and friends, then having to sit and wait, to see if your house will still be standing after the storm is over.

Quit your whining; Indiana's earthquakes are not nearly as bad as elsewhere, and neither is the snow.Originally posted by: rgwalt
It is going to totally rule when the remainder of the hurricane's storms make their way up into Indiana. It will officially make Indiana the worst place on earth... we have tornado's, earthquakes, blizzards, and now, hurricanes.
Seriously though, good luck to all the FL people!

Definitely couldn't hold in the cold.
I lost power shortly after my last post and I'm STILL out of power. Fridge is warm and I had to throw everythig out. House is about 90 something degrees. Lanai is flooded and the paint is peeling from the standing water. Oak branches and leaves are EVERYWHERE. This really sucks.
