More security better Network, better Wireless, and more.

However, mathematically speaking.

Worth = (What you get /Price).

Since Price is Zero, worth is ~ (infinite)

Good suggestion would be very Good if every one read it before upgrade.

Otherwise my approach is: So what if few programs will not work?

When you buy a New Car you have to get use to the new chiar position, some of the knobs and dials are in a different place Audio, security and other electronic systems might be different.

So I do not sit a newcar and whine it takes few days and I learn the new thing and get use to them.

Now with a VCR it is different you can use it while the clocks blinks 12:00 12:00 12:00 12:00 12:00 12:00, Forever.

And, IMO if you want guaranteed stability I would stick with SP1 and install all the latest patches. SP2 has caused problems with networking, programs and slows down the system considerably. I've seen situations where people's systems have come to a complete hault.

I wonder what percentage of your 16K posts are just quotes of other posts ? probably 50%

why post if you have nothing of your own to add ? I guess these redundant posts must be closer to 100% of your total

Ease up a bit there, big guy Schadenfroh has done a great deal for Forum users with his tireless spyware-removal advice (see his sticky thread in Software, look at the post count on that hummer).

Also FYI, quoting someone else without adding anything is the Forum equivalent of saying "yes, exactly what I was going to say myself." That help?

I installed service pack 2 and Windows ran a lot slower. Windows seems to use more system resources with SP2. Everything worked fine though. Just my experience.

Does commenting on someone else commenting on someone else's comment on "padding" constitute padding?

I have yet to install SP2 on any machine capable of running XP and not find, that in fact, it's snappier and faster overall. Make sure you're not double-firewalling. Turn off those services that you're not using, ie. the security center, the firewall, the anti-virus monitoring etc...
