This is digging up an old thread, but I thought you guys would get a kick out of this:

I received a phone call today from a guy who bought a three totaled Skys and built two solid ones out of them, including mine. As you can guess from the damage pictures, my drivetrain was put into one of the rebuilds... Including the motor, trans, rear end, and ECU. If anyone remember from that time my car was pretty heavily tuned and I happened to be running a pretty special tune that week that I was working on (lots and lots of boost).

Apparently he went to test drive after getting it into the new car and it scared him silly (I was probably up around 26psi with that tune, and he's in colder air), he wanted to know how to get it back to "normal." I wasn't sure whether I was proud or disappointed he wanted it back to stock. :laugh:

I sent him the stock tune file and the name of a few HPTuner shops in his area. The tune he was running really was a bit ridiculous... But I agree

I almost wanted to tell him to no lift shift once from 2nd to 3rd but I didn't want to get him killed.

I was too at first, then I really thought about it and realized that I don't really fight to be anonymous on the internet. I've accepted that I'm going to be easy to find in 2012 one way or another, so just manage the content out there about me as best I can.

You know, I miss the Sky a lot some days, I kind of wish I could have garaged it and had a weekend cruiser for nice weather. Relatively rare, pretty, and a blast to tune. Would have liked to hold on to that one for a while looking back on it.

Oh well, doesn't matter; bought M3.

Haha, made a few edits, but yeah... I look back and am surprised I was considering selling it. It was quirky in a good way.

The docs on the scene did concussion tests and such. Said that she was fine and for both of us to give it a day or two unless anything hurt too bad. I'm more and more sure I fractured a rib on one of the second impacts (I've done that before, know what it feels like) but they can't do anything for a fractured rib other than wrap it and give me pills anyways.

Go get checked out at your Doctor. was at a race at VIR our team owner crashed the car medical cleared him as said he was fine a few days later still had headaches got an MRI and he has a Brain Contusion (bruise on brain). so stuff like that is serious stuff. please go get checked out. also your car did an amazing job taking a hit right on the door! be glad it wasnt more serious as it certainly could have been!

heh, this is a necro thread from over a year ago.

Fortunately everyone involved was okay in general. I cracked a few ribs and had a concussion but managed to get by. Still thankful for the engineers, would love to buy them a beer.

Not much. The N/A ones only exist for V8 swaps IMO

There are super/turbocharger kits for them though that are pretty nice.
