I have no idea how you got to $1700, but I think you meant $1,179. That's the total without the 5% coupon. If you clicked on the 5% coupon link, the total in your shopping cart should be $1120.05 + tax, and Shipping is FREE! This is an old Ferengi secret which I am now passing onto you and the 80,000+ other lurkers. This method works for all click through coupons and eBates:

1) Click the Dell 5% link, configure your laptop then add to cart, stop.
2) Open a new web browser window to www.ebates.com leaving the first web browser window alone and in tact (do not close it), click computer then click Dell, you should now see the eBates ad banner on the top with the Dell website below. Click cart, your laptop and 5% discount should be waiting for you. Proceed to checkout like normal.
