Cheating is part of all sports, the only thing bad about it is getting caught
The NFL has suspended New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady four games for his role in deflating footballs for the AFC Championship Game, the league said in a statement Monday.
The Patriots will also lose a first-round pick in 2016 and a fourth-round pick in 2017 and have been fined $1 million.
It's better to beat your girlfriend than to lie about deflating balls in the NFL.
Brady gets 4 game suspension

All based on bias and innuendo.
Good thing that the burden of proof does not need to be met.
Refusal to acknowledge the NFL actions in this also
they wanted a fall guy and NE/Brady was the obvious target
Now what will Brady and the Union do?
Stay tuned for another episode next week.
That's a crap punishment.. the Falcons pumping in crowd noise is worse IMO but wasn't punished nearly as bad.
Heh, damn !

Brady got the book tossed at him, to summarize, for lying and refusing to cooperate with the league in an issue that was deemed detrimental to the league.
If he had simply stated he likes the balls as soft as possible and to push the edge as close as possible within how he understood the rules (instead of the big pre-Superbowl sideshow, lying about knowing the equipment guy, refusing to cooperate after Kraft said they would, etc.) he probably would have received no suspension.
Crazy. And the Browns were sending texts tot he sidelines and didn't get punished anything. A first round draft pick and they don't even have any proof Brady did anything? Damn, seems the NFL owners are jealous of the Pats success.
Why?

The 1-1.3 PSI or whatever it was made a dramatic enough difference to be worth the risk of being caught. That's the part you're not getting. These guys have footballs in their hands every day, they test balls that are over-inflated, under-inflated and properly inflated. Tom looked at the under-inflated balls, tested the under-inflated balls and thought "boy, I'm screwed if I get caught, let's do it anyway." He most definitely did not do that on a whim and he did not do it without a damn good reason. While you, in your professional opinion (hey, what position do you play anyway?) do not think there's a dramatic difference BRADY DOES. He saw a big enough difference to make it worth cheating. It can't be explained any more simply than that.
Wow. Worst part of the punishment imho? The Cowboys get to play the Pats w/o Brady.
Cheaters!
Patriots have responded!
Brady henchmen suspended indefinitely without pay.
