Ive got a bug. I can equip two abilities but only use one. One is assigned to Q the other to E but only the Q ability works. Very annoying.

at least the graphics didn't glitch out like that first time i tried to group.

And about 50% of the time I get a black screen when I launch. I can hear the music and the game loading, and when pressing keys/ESC you can hear the menus, but it's just a black screen. A restart or logoff/logon seems to fix it. Didn't have this in the beta. I immediately thought it was outdated video drivers (I checked and mine were dated Nov. 2015) but a download and install of the newest Radeon drivers for my 7870 didn't fix the issue.

Yikes. They made this WAY harder than the beta was. I decided to try and level up and get better gear before I attempt the Madison Square Garden mission again (it says level 4, and I'm level 5. I tried at level 4 and died at least 6 times and got fed up).

So I played a couple of Encounter-type missions and then came across the Subway Morgue one. Well I get to the final part where Rhodes is in the control room and you gotta fend off wave after wave of enemies (including elites, or whatever they're called). I did this at least once in the beta and didn't die once. But again, like MSG, I'm dying over and over and over. I got pretty close once but still got fucked. I'm even using the explosive bullet consumable and whatnot, which does help. But the frickin damage you take from just a shot or two is way too fucking much. Jesus Christ this is annoying. Hopefully I can turn the difficulty down to Easy, which I don't think I should have to, but I'm not gonna play it if it's like this.

Had the exact same issue but not as often.

Bought the black market ak47 blueprint (180 phoenix credits) and crafted the 5 elite weapon parts and 3 elite tool parts to make the rifle. Experimented soloing lv32 npc in the north part of DZ. Time consuming, you have to isolate an enemy to stand a chance and the loot didn't payoff the difficulty.

Few tips for those still leveling:
Phoenix credits is where it's at. All other currency is easy to acquire. Was running around with some random dude, made 50k dark zone credits in less than an hour. P-credits are farmed with dailies and killing named bosses in the DZ.

Don't sell blue or better gear, deconstruct and save up the materials to craft better weapons and gear.

Game ignores calibers. All weapons in the same class share ammo, for example, assault rifles "share" ammo, you want to run with different classes otherwise you run out of ammo quickly. An assault and a marksman rifle worked well for me. If you are solo in the DZ, avoid opening chests while others are around, wait til no one sees you. Check vendors often, sometimes they sell great gear.

You were basically pre-geared in the beta. The beta was not made to give you an accurate early game impression.

From what I can tell, the game is extremely sensitive to losing focus while it's launching. If I click start in Steam, then minimize Steam, I'll get the black screen. If I click start and just sit until it launches, it's fine.

Had a great time in the DZ the other day. I joined a random group and we accidentally got turned rouge so we just ran with it and began to murder everyone. We ended up with manhunt status backed into a dead end street. We were able to hold of the 3 or 4 guys that came after us util the timer ran out. It was a lot of fun.

Hah. i dont think that was us. We were fighting the NPCs next to the extraction point at the gas station when I think someone ran into our gunfire. After that we just stayed rogue and kept murdering people.

I had this happen on launch as well. It seemed to clear up after the last Nvidia driver release. I have a GTX 770. It required me to hit the power button to fix it. I couldnt even bring up a task manager.

Well, 4-5 hours in (level 8)...I think I'm hooked. It's wildly entertaining.

Enjoying the game quite a bit, not sure I will like PvP zone where as far as i can tell Greifing is rampant. Game has an Odd progression curve. Start the game and everything is easy, did the first "instance" to save the doc and then i hit the boss.. From "so simple" to "holy crap this guy knocks me to almost dead if he hits me". Then is just bit of boredom, flank and shoot, if hit, hide till some health rebuilds then flank and shoot, hide. It takes some time, but once you see that is just a test of how patient you can be it was easy. After that it seems almost all boss fights are just that, kill the garbage mobs, then slowly knock down the boss. Of course in groups its 10X easier with bosses, but much more garbage mobs. About the only time i have issues is when i go into a zone 2-3 levels over me.. which seemed to be a good idea for a short bit, got a couple good drops, then i start noticing its all level restricted.. FOUL!!!!! i killed um solo, i should be able to loot an use.. if i was in some group, sure i had help, but damnit, i kill um i should be able to loot and use it.

So what are the best talents (or whatever they call them) i like the pulse and mini turret. Pulse is just great so you don't get flanked. The Mini turret is a POS dps wise, but is a great little distraction. Boss fights they seem mesmerized by it, and you can just point blank head shot um while they (quickly) deal with it.

this really depends on the person but the game is worth picking up IMO if all you do is the single player and collect all the things. the story is well done and the background they give you through the phones/echos is pretty astounding at building the picture of what happened to the citizens and such

You'll have plenty of time to look for them when you install it from five DVDs....

I found a couple but don't have the links handy - once you get to your base of operations (where you have three wings to expand), do the security tree first. The first perk you unlock there is 'experienced agent,' which gives you a 10% XP bonus on everything you do afterwards.

Items have to have a mod slot to place it in. Go into an item in your inventory, a armor vest for example, if it can't be upgraded, option to mod is grey. If it can be upgraded, click mod then select a mod for the slot.
