got to a measly level 26 in the Division and now that i am going back into the darkzone it is brutal. i am darkzone level 11 but all my enemies are darkzone level 26 and 25. it's impossible to play. wtf!

It doesn't matter what level(DZ) u are when u take on enemies(AI) it is only a requirement for buying gear from vendors. DZ like regular map, is divided into zones based on required player level. In zones of ur level and lower level, enemies will always be a level or two higher than your regular game level and with beefier health bar n damage that's why u get better loot.
In regular game the enemies u find during free roam/side missions will be of level of the zone but in main missions they will scale to ur level.
I don't remember the exact places but many locations have these grappling ropes u can use to go higher than enemies and from there u can snipe them. It is always better to have more ppl in a group as ammo crates are rarer in DZ.

Just few of my observations. I hope it helps someone..

Hahah I learned that last night...found my first DZ entrance, waltzed in, and ran into something 8 levels above me. I died in a rapid fashion.

How do I know someone has there headset on? I have tried several times to talk to someone to set a plan but no answer..I am just doing random matchmakeing...I did get one person to talk and it was great..its flustrating to go with a group and I know some things to make the mission easier and no one to tell it too..thanks so much

Arent the dz zones split by level like the pve zones? Is he going into the appropriate zone?

Yea I think he is in the wrong DZ zone. If a buddy of mine is dz rank 14 and we both go in the DZ together he will be in a different zone than I am since I'm only 11. I could only see him in the safe house right before the entrance to the DZ.

No you dont have to have a gun or any gear you same level, but the game will warn you once your level and the gear's levels are a certain distance apart. Gear your level will usually do more damage or have better stats that will help you fight togher enemies better.

As yo the mic thing, no clue if there is any way to tell unless they are talking too.

Its very annoying to be part of a group and you cant communicate via voice. They do have group chat but its hard to keep moving and fighting and trying to type.

if you are lvl 26 then nothing is wrong here
dark zone level has nothing to do with enemy level, you could be lvl 30 and DZ lvl 1 and you would have lvl 30 enemies in the dark zone

its working as it should. DZ level is only important for buying the gear/patterns which are at DZ 30 and DZ 50

Ended up having to do the 1.5 hour online install. Initial install from disc resulted in a bad uplay install so nothing happened when you tried to open uplay. On the plus side you're able to copy an installed copy on one computer and paste it to another and have it reach play state in a minute.

Did most of the first two lowbie zones (except a couple quest where I needed bio gear I haven't found yet) and started on one with your HQ. Got the guy to open the security wing and impression so far is that the only "fixing" done graphically to the HQ is when you unlock a section you get a person working there.

Did the tunnel solo, just ignored the couple find a partner messages the game gave. Wasn't an issue after I realized how easy they could kill off the peon disarming the bomb, so I just moved further up for initial engagement and finished it up.

I had to boost the shit out of mine.

so did a few buddies, and turn the game audio way down, my mic boost is ike 35% and the game audio is all set at ~25 just so you could hear over the game

I like his reviews. I don't always agree 100% but usually what he says is at least somewhat based in truth.

Metacritic only has this at 81. seems kinda weak. IGN rated it 67?

I'm not saying he's wrong, just that I've never taken his stuff seriously based on how he acts.

Of course. You still have to aim. Tracking a target is much easier with a mouse. Headshots matter too so you'll be leaving a lot of DPS on the table if you can't reliably headshot.

Ran into a group of pre nerf rogues today. I have a black market (yellow) rifle and I played long enough to keep my crosshair on running targets. I fired an entire 51 round clip into one of them, at least 10 headshots and 70% hit rate, I barely scratched him, he lost maybe a third of one of his health bars.
He didn't even turn around, they went into subway to wait out the rogue timer.

Might have popped his ult. Security ult is like 80% damage reduction.

You still aim on the console version too with no mouse. You make it sound like it's impossible to hit anything with the controller. This isn't exactly CoD either. I thought I made it obvious with my original question I wasn't looking for those types of answers too. I don't use a dedicated mouse on a desk any longer for my PC which is why I even asked.

Nah I've seen other videos that have high praise of it but do offer some caveats about the story, the general grindiness(is that even a word?) of it, and that you need to enjoy certain types of games to enjoy this. I'm still considering buying it once I finish up a couple other games I've been playing.

Both my system and exdeath's are both Realtek and Win 10. I know he had trouble with his mic. I set my boost to 40% in game and everyone says mine is fine. I'm running a modmic, not sure about exdeath.

I have a doubt. Does a slower connection mean lag even when I'm in PVE? Cos I noticed considerable lag after hitting an enemy and him taking actual damage. And these were NPCs. Sorry for being dumb but is it like an mmo?

I watched the first few mins, he's being pedantic largely about what the game is vs what they showed at E3, obviously things change in that time, for the most part visuals are the same or better but the things like the arrangement of the map is different.

They joke about gear being a reward for leveling but that's literally every MMO ever, that such a stupid comment and isn't well though out at all, that should give you pause and make you reconsider watching the rest of his rambling about this.

Quite frankly the game is damn good, it's not often I buy £40 brand new games, the game looks amazing even for a singleplayer 3rd person game much less an online/mmolite kind of experience, coupled with the fact that it runs REALLY well. Games get slammed for not runnign well like your GTA IV's but then something comes along and provides a stunning level of detail in a massive open world and runs awesome and no one bats and eyelid, you can run this easily in 4k with med/high settings on a single 980.

The missions are fun as hell to run with a bunch of even semi competent players and require some tactics and thought when you put them on hard. It's got just about every feature you can want from this kind of 3rd person game there's loads of gadgets/talents/guns/grenades/powerups etc, I mean he says its an average experience but what exactly would he add to make the game any more in depth.

The absolute worst thing i can say against the game is that it requires uplay and has a black screen bug when I start it from time to time.

Cant say he is wrong on some of his points. The Dark Zone was a complaint I had from the open beta. It is just a bad setup for pvp imo. The graphics glitches I have never experienced nor the logon issues. The bullet sponge and loot drop complaint is bleh imo. It is an RPG MMOish type game, what does he expect? As for content. It is early and sadly the SOP for games for over a decade. DLCs will add content.
