My problem with MMOs now that I'm older is that I don't have friends that can play within the same schedule as I do.

Yea I know what you mean. Before I had my full time job I made a lot of friends at the part time places I worked at during the last few years of college. They work the later shifts and are usually online while I'm at the office. Sucks and these type of games are more fun when played with people you know.

As for downgraded graphics I'm curious to see what actual ps4 footage looks like. I have no doubt the pc version of watch dogs will look good. But many people saw the reveal at e3, the Jimmy Fallon demo, and expected watch dogs as the entry to a reason for getting a new system. Ubisoft really needs to put out some gameplay footage since its about a month and a half away.

Yup, same story here. What they have shown or portrayed on the trailer is awesome, but that type of interaction with real friends is not where my life is at right now.

The game still looks and feels amazing. I just hope they have enough content for me to solo the PvP and PvE!

I rather have the Ghost Recon or Splinter Cell franchise to do the 3rd person shooter with cover, and make this game first person shooter

Yeah, would be nice to have the other Ubi studios adopt this engine. I'm wary of online gaming even if I can sync up with other people. A game goes gold, teams are "downsized" and while the remaining devs take a breather, with a new game launch trolls get to work in finding cheats, exploits and just ways to ruin fun for others.

Back on topic, I don't think this will be downgraded though there is typical scenery cherry picking and quick cuts to max the awe effect but I am curios what hardware is needed to run it as shown. AC sequel doesn't use Snowdrop engine but franchises like Splinter Cell, Ghost Recon, Far Cry would look amazing. A World in Conflict sequel while I'm at it...

I plan to get this day one, got a small to play it with already. I just hope the PC version doesn't take a hit because of the consoles.

Hey look, sensible system requirements, though $5 says it runs just fine on an i3.

Bought a beta key on ebay for $1.15, believe it starts Thursday. It's only for 48 hours but that should be enough time to dig into and figure out if it's worth buying.

I still like to play MMO's, just that I haven't found one that I can stay attached to, Guild Wars 2 was the last one I spent a lot of time in but my guild (originally started in Star Wars Galaxies about 12+ years ago) moved onto ArcheAge from it and I cannot stand ArcheAge with its paywall. So I still occasionally play SWGemu and Rust (can barely tolorate the griefers) and Elder Scrolls Online which is really disappointing.

I have no interest in the Division, from what I've researched, it'll be a continuous grind game like Destiny is (I have a digital copy of that on my PS4 but uninstalled).

PCgameshardware.de technical expose on The Division (use Google to translate).

The game looks very impressive, and not just from a graphical standpoint. From the link above, it appears it uses very complex systems for destruction, general real world simulation. Only Star Citizen likely has a more elaborate destruction system than The Division.

I was going to pass on this game originally because I thought it was MP only, but apparently it has a good single player story mode as well.. So if the reviews are good, I'm going to pick it up..

I'm looking forward to this one, as I like third person shooters. It just keeps sounding better and better.

Thanks.

It doesn't look as good as the first youtube video from 2 years ago

We don't know the settings use and it is an alpha, not a beta. From the reviews I've seen (and Ubi isn't allowing PC footage to be released for some reason) by people who have played the PC version, it looks great and runs butter smooth on their test rigs (who knows what those PCs were packing though).

That's a little strange it's alpha when the video 2 years ago looked like it was pretty far in development.

I haven't seen this game before since yesterday so maybe they've had some bumps in the road.
