what level? i have been 30 for awhile and play casually usually. been hating playing it because its very hard to advance and pugs suck. solo is basically taking forever or impossible.

its because of falcon lost + dark zone hackers.

Massive cant seem to fix hackers.
They have teleport, Aimbots, Unlimited Ammo + Rate of Fire Hack, that basically makes it impossible to kill unless you are also hacking.

The dark zone right now is a complete mess...


Falcon Lost on the other hand, the map is so broken in the gear/skill requirement, that unless ur with a well coordinated group, you wont pass it.

This is what happens when you cheap out on your netcode and put the trust in client side. They've made it entirely too easy to cheat in the game and fixing it well will require a complete netcode rewrite. Glad I got the game at a deal price and didn't spring for a season pass at this point since it seems unlikely they'll fix these issues.

Boy. XB1 and PC dark zone are two completely different beasts. On XB1 and can play by myself and not run into a single rogue agent. On PC within 5 minutes I am shot and killed.

Yeah. Unless someone wants to run some dailies or something, this game is shelved for me until they can fix all this garbage. 'Tis a shame since I was enjoying it.

18. Haven't done much of DZ at all. Just playing with a friend.

I play on ps4 and after the update there were a lot more people going rogue and less helpful people from what I noticed. Been about a week or two since I played and I have yet to reach 30 too.

hacking/exploiting is generally worse on the PC vs console for various reasons but this is I think the first time where the game is so broken on the PC side that its actually better to play it on a console

I put roughly 100 hours into it before this all became a large issue, I enjoyed it but im glad I stopped playing

Since they put all trust on the client side, no. They could try something like punk buster, that keeps track of memory and such. But really it needs to move that all off to the server side. Which games like Quake 3 and Battlefield 4 do, where you don't see any hacking.

Great news. It looks like they are finally cracking down on hackers. Was a live stream earlier where they were actively suspending people for 14 days in the DZ. Spent most of the morning in the DZ with not a single hacker. Was the best time I've had in the DZ in weeks. Finally saw a hacker, he killed my group (got to love teleport, auto aim, and rpm), got him on video, submitted the ticket, and he was gone in about 10 or so minutes. They also fixed protection from elites this morning.

Agreed, Battlefield 4 still has hacking it is just FAR less common. It seems to come in waves as well. I can go about two months without really questioning anything and then for a week or so it gets bad and then the server messages start up again about people being kicked/banned for hacking.

I just picked this up for PC to play with a few friends. It is quite fun on Hard and I do like the gunplay and perks.

I was surprised to see how well this game scales with OC. My R9 290 is at 1150/1450 and is maintaining 60 fps @ 1080p at high/ultra settings. At stock speed, I was dipping into the mid 50's. My buddy who was also OC'd kept crashing which sort of tells me his OC isn't stable (CPU or GPU; no idea)

This is one of the few PC games where I haven't had any crashing or game breaking bugs. I suppose it helps not to buy it at release...

P.S. Playing this game with a controller vs M+KB is great. The Aim Assist is outrageous!

Primary:
u should be farming pheniox coins like a madman til you can get the blueprint for the vector smg at the BoO vendor upstairs next to the recalibration vendor.
I forget how many phoenix coins it costs but its a bit under 200.

In order of SMG for PVE:
AuG > Vector > or = Mp5-N

Reason why i say this is AuG may have a slower RoF then a Vector, it typically hits harder and also has a larger mag clip. Of course talents on weapons can shift the ranking, but assuming all had same talents.

Secondary:
Again farm pheniox coins like a madman until you can get the police Mk17 sniper rifle BP. Why this rifle? because it has a good RoF, it has a large magazine, and its very forgiving if u miss head shots a lot. You wont see the 400-500k head shots on it, but you will see good numbers like 200k with a much higher RoF. The only rifle i would pick over this would probably be the Socom/first wave M1A, or a good SRS even.

However those are very hard to come by, and the first wave M1A requires DZ lvl 75 to purchase.

Pistol: do not make the damacus.... i know you will be tempted to make it especially after doing general assembly. But just dont.. its a piece of junk pistol which isnt remarkable at all.

Shotguns:
Not remarkable at all, infact u wont be getting close enough for shotguns to shine against a lvl32 mob as they will tear u apart.

Assault rifles:
some live by them, due to the better range they have over SMG.
However SMG's usually have a 20%+ Crit bonus, hence why SMG's are a bit over powered. You wont have the range as a Assault, however thats why u have the fast firing Mk17 for range fights.

I tried out the Navy MP5 from the Phoenix vendor last night. Not a bad gun. The thing I like about it over the Vector is magazine size. Vector hits hard but you need to get an extended magazine just to make it shoot enough to kill more than one mob. So I can use a mag that gave + crit chance and +crit damage with the MP5. Vector also seems to spray more than the other SMGs. But I think the Aug is probably the best SMG out there as well. It has more punch at range. Almost like a poor mans assault rifle but with SMG crit chance.
