Tom Magliozzi, one half of the wisecracking Car Talk duo known as "Click and Clack the Tappet Brothers," has died after complications from Alzheimer's Disease. He was 77.
That's Tom on the left:
Those guys were as good as it gets.

I really enjoy listening to their show. I don't even know anything about cars, then again, I don't think they do either.
RIP Tom.
I really hope that NPR stations stop playing the reruns of the shows now. Listening to them would be kinda creepy.
A number of people have asked about the future of the show and whether they will be able to continue to listen to Tom and Ray.
The short answer is yes. We spoke to Ray about this, and he feels the finest tribute he can possibly offer his brother is to allow people to continue enjoy Toms great humor and joyful attitude.
We are all fortunate that Tom spent so much of his life in front of a microphone, sharing so many hours with the millions of listeners he loved. Because of that we, and future generations, will be able to continue to enjoy the magical alchemy of Car Talk.
So, as long as people want to listen to Car Talk, and as long as our stations make a home for us in their schedules, we will continue to make Tom and Ray available every week.
Agree, they managed to make something about diagnosing an auto repair issue into a very entertaining and fun format plus both of them knew their shit very well to boot, RIP Tom and thanks for all the advise and laughs along the way
Actually it was pretty amazing how they could diagnose the issues people called in with, they really did know their stuff when it came to cars. They even ran regular segments called Stump the Chumps where they would follow up to see whether they got it right or wrong
Just beginning to listen to this week's Car Talk. Ray begins by saying he's hosting alone, then segues into a compendium of his brother's best clips from the show.
