Haha good it's just a game that got me really interested even though I wasn't so big into tomb raider before. Same goes for bioshock..I just almost beat headspace 3 so bioshock can wait. The first and second didn't really grab me.

I wasn't planning on buying this game, but I would seriously consider it if they did a comedian commentary option

I see TR still has this moronic 'feature' that the last few versions have had, where something that ought to be a simple cut-scene (we like cut scenes, just not too many, right?), except you have to press a button once in order to continue. Pull metal thing out of my side? Y/N. Can I say no and watch you try to continue with it still in your side?

i was watching some video of this game and it looked awesome. I only played a few of the previous games though.

i bought one of those amd never settle codes off ebay and so now i have tomb raider when it's released (already downloaded on steam) and Bioshock: Infinite since I liked the previous versions of bioshock. the code cost me 57.99 so i got both games for just under $30 each.

can't wait to play!

I dont mind buying UK region free keys, but not ready to take the plunge on Brazilian or Indian keys (lots of cheap Indian Keys on ebay). Definitely not Russian. If it was just violating TOS and losing access to the game that would be fine, but too much invested in the account to risk losing it.

This place was not a key store, It is a totally legit regular price site. If you were to click on it now the price is back up to normal around the web prices, now $42 US. Key sites from what I hear do not give you the key instantly.

Wouldn't you still need to have the Russian or Indian version set on your pc as the language to play it ?

Unlocked it early with a VPN, been playing for the past 2 hours. I am really enjoying it. It really does feel like Uncharted. I haven't gotten to a tomb to play around with yet as I've been busy finding collectibles and gathering supplies as the story expands a bit more so you can get a rough idea of what is going on. It looks really nice and runs pretty good. I like Lara's new voice quite a lot, grew on me really quick. The mechanics running/jumping/climbing/etc all feel good and the weapons are good as well, I like the bow the best personally. The upgrade system is pretty cool as well you find salvage hidden around and use that to upgrade your various items and you have a 2 skill trees, one for survival (gathering/spotting/etc) and one for hunting (better aim/carry more ammo/etc) and you get exp for killing stuff, finding things, and exploring. So far there seems like a fair amount to do and it is fun, only reason I turned it off (and I didn't want too) was because I am cooking and going to eat soon lol.

Not really. Sometimes you can switch between languages, or you can manually install the language from an English release.

Thats good to hear. I wonder why they didnt give out PC keys to early review.

Nope I checked spam, even searched in there. I emailed AMD but no response. Next time I'll think twice before getting one of those cards from Ebay. Maybe mine got delayed some how.

Well, the game still doesn't technically come out until tomorrow (unless you're living in the eastern hemisphere). So if 24 hours from now you still don't have it, then I would start asking questions.

I wonder if Square ran out of keys because of preorders/promos and what not. They might not have expected a lot of PC orders. Might explain why PC reviewers didnt get any keys, even though the game is apparently good on PC. Steam unlocked level 3 preorder bonuses like 2 weeks ago.

Don't ask for a refund on ebay. Assuming the guy you purchased from gave you a promo code, and you successfully registered the code on AMD's website, then that ebay seller is perfectly legitimate. The ball is now in AMD's court.

If you end up not getting your keys, it's AMD's fault, not the guy you purchased them from. Like Childs said, it's possible that Square Enix is running out of keys because of the massive influx of people who participated in the promo. Sit tight.

That's right I wasn't going to run out and ask for one I wouldn't feel right about that. Perhaps if they did run out then they would ask for proof of purchase so I'm sure the person I got it from would not mind sending me a scan of whatever they bought. Most of those on ebay are small pc stores so they probably sell or install cards and keep the promo cards as extra revenue to sell off.

The email should say January 2013 to December 2013. If you got that AMD email you will still get your code. If they ran out they just need to generate more.

They are not out of keys. My 7850 came in today, I entered the code on the website and my key was emailed to me within 30 seconds. Your email sounds like mine wording-wise. Make sure you enable images on your email and can see it as html.

I've put like another 4 hours in after eating
I really like the game, the only complaints I have are some of the QTE's are annoying (but when aren't they, thankfully they become less and less as you play, seems to throw more at you near the beginning), and the tombs aren't really all that. They aren't large and the 3 (I think?) optional ones I've come across so far have all been solve 1-2 puzzles and bam treasure chest on the other side

You gain new weapons and upgrades for weapons as you play that will make previous areas in spots you were at earlier accessible now (think like Metroid, new ability opens up new spots, but it isn't so much for map but for hidden goodies and collectibles), the bow is still my fav though

I will say one thing, outside of the normal making the main character really tough etc you see nowadays, Lara is like a freaking women of steel, she keeps trucking no matter how much shit see goes through and really should be dead a few times over already and not be able to perform even close to the level she does. I bring this up because it does become a bit distracting when you take a series of big falls with landings being broke by wood and you are bouncing all over the place and you get up, even if wounded, the fact she doesn't pass out for a little bit just makes the suspense of disbelief a bit hard to swallow at times.

The story is pretty good so far as well and I like finding the journals to get more insights on various characters and it helps add some backstory as well.

I might have to leave TressFX off. I started playing the game, and once I hit the scene where Lara falls into the shoulder-height water, my framerate just took a nosedive to sub-10 FPS and it stayed there while I was wading through. Near the end, I turned TressFX off, and it jumped back to 50 FPS. I walked a tiny bit ahead, and when I turned it back on, it was at 35 FPS again. I'm not sure what would make it drop so badly that it requires it to be sort of "reset" to work properly again.
