Sorry, but I disagree. You made the choice to leave him there, YOU should have questioned the supervision.

There's an assumed level of responsibility of the host, on the part of the party-goer (<-edited this...didn't make sense before). You wouldn't question beforehand what sort of fire prevention methods were in place before a party, and yet surprisingly there are quite a bit of accidents at parties involving fire. We make a surprising amount of assumptions and place our property and loved ones in the supervision of others based on these assumptions because they are usually right - they are usually based on what reasonable people would do. But every so often an unreasonable person comes along to make an idiot out of the person who made a perfectly normal assumption and people point fingers at this "idiot" rather than the true dumb one - the person that couldn't follow what your average reasonable person would do.
It's easy to point fingers at the parents in this situation but there's not one parent on these forums that hasn't had an accident with their young one. Most are lucky that the accident didn't result in serious damage - and I wouldn't say that all of these parents are unreasonable or irresponsible.
I highly doubt Tommy Lee was even supervising this party as celebs usually pay people to take care of their young ones since they throw large parties. In this situation it's evident there wasn't enough supervision. The responsibility lies in Tommy Lee as the host of the party to provide a safe environment, and he didn't do so by not ensuring enough supervision. But I wouldn't doubt the overworked, understaffed child care workers will get the blame by Mr. Lee's lawyers.
edit Let me elaborate on this because I too, based on what I know of Tommy Lee, would not let my kids near the house. But the fact of the matter is none of us know Tommy Lee. We know "Tommy Lee" a creation of some P.R. firm's imagination. My brother works in the entertainment industry and let me tell you that nobody
really knows celebrities. Some of the industry's angels, praised for their high morals are sometimes the most immoral people - and of course vice versa. There are some people who the media portray to be bad and who live up this reputation that you'd actually prefer to the previously-mentioned group.
