they have a forum?
Back in the day (1997) when Thomas Pabst (the originator of the site) was the author of most of tom'shardware articles it was one of the best place to get info about new hardware and overclocking, somewhere in 2001/2002 he stopped writhing the articles himself completely and that?s when it started to go down the pipe, by 2004 it got so bad that I switched my main hardware review site to AT (although I still got some good memories from tom's at the CeleronA era).Originally posted by: LOUISSSSS
hey i'm relaticely new here but why do the people in this forum hate toms hardware so much?

Bad: More "general user" oriented leading to not-so-technical reviews. Some of their reviews are kind of "so what"-ish. Their forums SUCK... its user base consists primarily of 15yr olds who know nothing about computers or life.

thats a good example Dave and i think that underscores the feeling for toms here. its not hatred but a lack of trust. for more recent examples, look at their x2/840 stress test or their psu stress test. or their botched review of the dfi sli board.
i used to like their vga comparison charts but frankly their are many other sites where i can get the same info.
