I'm just 20 minutes in right now, but damn - Agent Walker just gets hotter and hotter. BTW, I'm gonna guess (easy guess, but those of you that have watched already can laugh at me if I'm wrong) that Walker and the head FBI guy are romantically linked? I thought it was fairly obvious, but it hasn't been talked about too much up to this point. Then again, with 24, the obvious doesn't always fit. Maybe it was an old relationship or one of them is married.

Checked my HD cap, there was a sound like a drum when the clock hit 12:59:57. Can't wait for next weeks episode 6.

I don't think the first man is dead yet, just paralyzed. I'd be very surprised if he gets killed. He and his son's gf will probably escape somehow, and go on some sort of crazy adventure. He's this season's annoying relative and it seems they never die so early or easily.

If they did kill him that'd be interesting, but then I don't know how they'd move along with that whole side plot. 24 is not afraid to do some crazy stuff, though.

So far I'm enjoying this season

the silent clock doesn't *just* honor death, although with one exception I think (end of Season 6) it usually has been used after someone died.

I think they did the silent clock because she's being buried so it's like she can't hear. I thought it was a very poor use of the silent clock.

I think placing any kind of personal significance on the silent ending clock in 24 is stupid.

As I posted above, my local FOX affiliate blew a fuse or something, and I didn't get to watch the rest of it. Finished it off online after work this afternoon, and I'm not enjoying having to wait a week for another episode. I'm loving this season so far, I want to know what happens with Renee, and how she's going to react to the fact that Jack purposefully saved her life.

in retrospect there is at least one example demonstrating the significance of the silent ending clock (or the lack thereof)....tony almeida didn't get the silent treatment in season 5 leading some to wonder if he truly was dead. according to the producers they had wanted to keep the option of Tony returning alive, so the lack of a silent clock was done on purpose.

Lol I know, I said that in previous ep thread, walker is an insanely hot woman . How is she going to get out of grave? She might suffocate

Yep. Jack may be shooting her neck and tossing her into a ditch this week, but give it a few more episodes and they'll be in love.

I assume it's fairly obvious to everyone by now that they're turning her into Jack with tits.

the preview had secret service man propping him up on the couch in the next episode. still alive, but paralyzed.

He'll get out of this one somehow, or at the very least they'll needlessly drag this out for another 3 or so hours (episodes).
