Seems to be working just fine this season, so let's just cut & paste again:

I'm starting this thread very early tonight to try and set up one little ground rule that many members have complained about before w/ previous 24 threads.

Please don't post anything about the next episode.

For example, at the end of tonight's show, they will run a preview of the next episode and many of the members here don't want to know this info; this thread should only be used to discuss events in tonight's episode and past episodes. Any other suggestions are welcome, thanks

Even though I missed the real time posts about 24, I still had to start this thread out of tradition

I was just starting to like Chapelle, but damn, Jack is a hardcore bad ass.

I was hoping they'd do something similar to what they did to make Nina look like she died in season 1 (bulletproof vest), but I guess not.

Well I figured CTU might have some "Romeo and Juliet"-like pills that'slow down the heart rate so it looks like he's dead, or something to that effect.

Why didn't they just pull a body from the morgue? Saunders doesn't know what Chapelle looks like; he only wanted him dead because he was checking his bank accounts.

That episode is one of the very few episodes of any program that made me just cringe while watching it. Jack is a hard ass, but holy hell I didn't expect him to actually pull the trigger.

It may be as long as you go w/ the theory CTU came up about the Chapelle/Saunders link

Well Saunders knows Jack and probably was familiar with people from MI6, so I'm sure he knows what a lot of other CTU bigwigs look like. He's definitely not your typical run-of-the-mill criminal.

so why would Saunders leave all those men to protect something he wasn't even using at that apt complex? Was he just in a different room?

Jack has been messing with his own people so much by now that he's probably having trouble keeping track of who he's supposed to shoot next. I predict he'll put one right through Kim's brain next episode.
