I missed the preview for season 5 but it's about time a nuke was let off. What did the preview for S5 have in it? I feel bad for curtis, but after 5 seasons you'd think people in 24 would realize that when you go up against Jack he always gets his way and that's all there is to it.

He started in Season 4. Pretty chill guy up until now. It was kinda shocking because Jack used to depend on him in certain situations ....

Wow, now I'm confused. I thought Mason was killed last season in the nerve gas attack on CTU. Who was it that came out of the only other air-tight room to activate the ventilation, therefore sacrificing himself?

After so many, these seasons run together .

No that was Edgar and Samwise from LOTR.

Mason had been exposed to some of that toxic gas and he was doomed anyways. So Jack was flying the plane to the desert to do a suicide mission himself, but Mason ended up being on the plane and since he knew he had lik ea few hours to live, he said he'd sacrifice himself instead, and jack parachuted off.
