kinda weird that no CCTV cameras picked up Chloey as she was walking around after Jack dropped her off, especially since London is probably the public CCTV capital of the world...did that new security agency even try to scan the CCTV images to look for her or jack after they escaped??? LOL

i like how the london cia looks like it was someone's basement that was about 25% being completed.

show is going to be a great ride, it was a fun first episode (or two).

i loved how the last line in the episode is jack yelling DAMNIT!

Tonight's episodes did not disappoint! Now I'm tempted to go back and watch Season 8 again!

I rewatched season 8 ~3 months ago...to prep for this. eh, I wouldn't recommend it. doesn't hold up, as much as I enjoyed it when it was happening :\


So far, seasons 4/5 are most relevant to this one--Audrey Raines and her poppa--he was SecDef at the time, correct? I recall both her and Jack were kidnapped and tortured by the Chinese, and at the very beginning of this season, it mentions Chinese activity with their warships.

Guess who is behind all of this?

I love the familiar faces. Black agent is from the Wire, Tamer Hassan (sp?), mother from game of thrones, framed Lt. from attack the block movie etc. A lot better than I thought it was going to be. I am glad they didn't do a movie liked they promised years ago. I rather have the 24 1 hour episodes instead

Kiefer is looking like he's been living a rough life. My wife and I both noticed how much he's aged. Yvonne evidently can't get enough makeup on her. She doesn't look HD friendly.

now for the plot holes so far:
1) if the cia is all prepared to capture jack including men in a boat, then why didn't they cover the rooftops?
would have been better if the boat wasn't there. made it look like the cia only had limited time/resources thus making it plausible about the roof not being covered.

2) so the drug dealer is in the open and shoots jack. about 10 cia field agents return fire, some w/machime guns. and they all miss!?
so expect that drug dealer to make an appearance in other episodes?

3) President Heller has alzheimers or something similar.
Why not just step down?

Don't forget that the blond CIA chick's husband was selling secrets to the Chinese and she was "cleared." Her also being a traitor is not beyond the realm of belief for this show - not to mention how interested she was at the news of it being Bauer.
