They probably need him for tech support. Once they unleash the drone attack, I think that the plan is that he's a goner.

I think they might be using Naveed as scapegoat.

Just like in season 2 when Marie Warner (white) marrying Reza (middle eastern) to use him as the fall guy.

Why is Chloe the girl with the dragon tat?

Apparently she's QQ because Morris and their son were killed some time between season 8 and now (people trying to kill her).

Or so she said.

But yeah, the eyeliner. wtf.
She was the target, and son and husband Morris ended up dead after Chloe asked Morris to fetch son after Soccer practice. That's the reason she went "underground". :\

The CIA clowns are laughable, thinking Jack is involved in the attacks. I hope they get with the program fast.

ya that's what I don't get. Jack has always been 'rogue' and ended Season 8 on the run after capping a couple Russian diplomats, but there is nothing in his history suggesting anything other than blind allegiance to the USA.

For their first assumption to be that Jack is planning to kill the US president (who happens to be Jack's friend/former direct employer) is quite a leap. How about... maybe... Jack is trying to save the world? That seems a bit more plausible given his history.

that is my problem. sure eh was on the run but all he has ever done is try to protect the US. but now they think he was there to kill the President and take over the drones?

It is pretty ridiculous. He has saved humanity again and again, yet the authorities are, over and over, anxious to believe he is an international terrorist.

In general I had high hopes for this season and find it disappointing. I had hoped the show creators would have drawn inspiration from all the better shows that have aired since the show was last on the air (particularly Breaking Bad and Homeland - at least the first season and a half of it), take advantage of the fact that the season is only 12 episodes, and raise their game. Instead it just feels like a mediocre season like the last couple, with no increase in quality at all. At its best 24 has been pulpy but a lot of fun - at its worst it is no fun at all.

Grr... 24 STILL doesn't even TRY to make their computer hacking scenes realistic, do they? They can't even get something simple like an IP address right.

Apparently, the "secure" comm rooms in US Embassies don't have a "Off" switch of even a fiber cable that can be cut to stop them transmitting. Impressive

It's the same stuff.

  1. Jack tries to save the world but no one believes him.
  2. Except for one or two rogue agents who then defend Jack to the end. The acting is pretty bad. "YOU HAVE TO BELIEVE ME." "I GIVE YOU MY WORD."
  3. As usual the chief of staff or someone in the President's staff is a supposed smartass who tries to take matters in his/her own hands.
  4. Anyone who gets cold feet working w/ the terrorists gets punished. How many times have we seen this?
  5. Likely a mole at CIA/president's staff coming soon.

RINSE....REPEAT.

But it's London, so that's OK.

Next year we hopefully get to see Paris...then Rome and the Amalfi Coast.

lol DLeRium hit it right on the head.

that said, the show is awesomely hilariously bad but extremely entertaining. i find myself laughing at it a lot but in an entertaining way. i feel it's kind of making fun of itself again this season.

just real basic shit like when jack asked if the marines were wearing body armor. chloe tells him that it looks like it but she cant be certain. jack automatically knows that they are wearing it and puts 2 bullets in the direct chest to not hurt them. then the 2 cia agents realize where they were shot, and know jack did it on purpose. LOL. so awesomely bad but so entertaining!

anyways, i didn't catch exactly what audrey's husband forged for the president. what was it exactly that he signed with the forged signature? it might have been 2 eps ago, i watched the last 2 eps last night back to back so they kind of blurred together.

That's because they were transmitting over a "secure" ip. The regular non-secure ip only goes up to 254 in each octet on regular computer we use. Once you go secure, nothing can break the connection. It's using the same technology used in Independence Day to upload the virus to the aliens.
