That's because they were transmitting over a "secure" ip. The regular non-secure ip only goes up to 254 in each octet on regular computer we use. Once you go secure, nothing can break the connection. It's using the same technology used in Independence Day to upload the virus to the aliens.

i thought it was pretty obvious that the daughter is brainwashed to shit by her mother. that is the vibe i have picked up on. i'm sure the whole finger thing won't bother her.

But she seemed brainwashed or whatever enough that she would kill the hacker. But when its Navid she crumbles and cries? And can't hold her emotions in front of her mom? She's good enough to improvise and get away from Jack but now she's a complete weakling? The character development needs some work here.

Also it's that interesting that you can break into an embassy that easily. Maybe someone in London can clarify what it's like there, but I'm pretty sure if there were a horde of protesters outside (I'm thinking Iran 1979), you would have your doors of the buildings locked up too. all it takes is gunfire outside and you have dozens of people breaching the embassy? Those things are like fortresses now especially in countries like Iraq, China, etc.

I guess with only 12 episodes, they cut out the same "The first villain we introduce is only a stooge for the real villain" schtick from season to season. I was thinking that the kid wasn't so much wanting to leave the crazy lady and his wife, but he was actually working for crazy lady's real boss, and would soon just kill them all and move to base number 2 with the control box.

Probably not enough time to work with that, but maybe so.

yeah, the Chinese are after Jack--they had also captured Audry.

I think Dexter's wife is definitely working for the Chinese--yes, of course she knew her husband was a spy all along.
