The director was making a movie and wanted a big name actor. The agent for that actor was trying to get more money for the role, or was otherwise playing hard to get. The director set up a meeting with Vince in a restaurant he knew the actor's agent would be at, letting the agent know that the director was willing to get a different actor.

The agent saw the director meeting with Vince, and signed his client to the role rather than lose it.

(sorry, it was a few weeks ago, so I forget the actor/agent/director's names)

People explained this already. They're using Vinny as leverage to lower the asking price of the lead they have in mind. They have zero intention of hiring Vinny as the lead.

The other agent was Adam Davies who ratted out Ari to Terrence back in season 3, blackmailed Ari when he found out Ari was opening his own agency, sent Ari a pic of his wife naked, etc. etc which led to the bitch slapping incident. :laugh:.

I'm sure that a lot of Entourage fans didn't like yesterday's episode - lack of women, no crazy antics, etc. The Dom story was random, but it worked in E and Charley's management story while tying up any loose ends with Dom. Killing off Alan was certainly unexpected - but it's a cool way to open things back up for Vince with the studio.

Hopefully they give us some more laughs next week now that the storyline's been given something to work with.

I doubt they'll have Ari take the job. If he takes it there will be less conflict that Ari has to deal w/. Ari is at his best when he has to be weasly to get the job for vinnie.

If he takes the job, it'll probably be for a litlte bit and he'll quit
