After first going on record as saying I would never wish cancer on anyone, its maybe time to point out that cancer is a cruel disease no amount of political spin will cure.
And now Snow's chances of long term survival now rest on his own genes and the knowledge of his own doctors. And the treatments he tries or does not try.

It may be ironic if a man who has spent a lifetime fighting stem cell research and the funding of medical research dies of a treatable illness the lack of research delayed until after his death.

He can't make it on $168k a year, the poor baby. Me and a lot of other people would love to make that kind of money, and working for the govt no less. Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts has also complained about how little he makes..$212k a year.
What is up with the greed of these people?
These are supposedly public servants-public service anyone?
I think both of these guys are bad examples-and never should have been appointed.

Yeah, he's looking rough. He has the hair of 90 yr old man.

I can understand, and believe him when he says he has to leave for financial reasons. I'm sure he was making waaay more as a broadcaster at Fox. I'd bet he has a big home expensive from his Fox days he's still paying for now. Maybe even two homes, if he didn't have a place in Washington DC before he sure does now.

May wanna save up some extra dough in his position. I wouldn't give him great odds for a long life expectancy or long career. He might wanna leave his family in a good financial position.

I thought he did a good job, and I wish him well.

Fern

That's what I was thinking. With his cancer back he might not have much time. Get his contract back with Fox, publish a book on his experiences at the WH and rack up as much cash as he can for his family.

And if he does survive it, then he's that much further ahead of the game. But really, round two with this kind of thing rarely has a positive outcome.

Most republicans radiate an ineffable stench, but I flat out like Tony Snow. It's the damnedest thing.

Of course it is, when the alternative is being set up with a do-nothing executive level position with a corporation run by a bush/cheney crony, with pay in the millions per year and bonus in the millions per year and stock options in the millions per year.

Welcome to P&N. I'm more likely to get banned for my comment about TW's comment (since I was attacking a forum member) than he is for merely celebrating the imminent cancer death of someone who doesn't share his political beliefs.

Karma, indeed, tomywishbone...
