I wont pretend to be a professional driver, but it seems like lot of you have never driven in a foot or so of snow before. To make a fast turn such as when you want to turn into an intersecting road and some ass is tailgating you sometimes you need to actually hit the gas otherwise the car wants to keep going straight. I would imagine loose dirt acts a bit similar to loose snow and hitting the gas was in an attempt to try to quickly correct the vehicle's direction after the wheels were turned. Though, are these things front wheel drive or rear wheel drive? I think this would apply more to front... Rear wheel drive is a bit more tricky in these conditions.

It looked like Stewart thought the guy was going to keep moving toward the infield so he was going to go high. Stewart likely had no idea the guy was going to attempt to confront him on the track like that.

Like I said earlier the slow motion video shows was definitely looks like Ward hanging off the right side wing on Stewarts car the instant before he gets sucked into the rear wheels. You never see him get hit by the front tire. Only sucked under the rear tire. If stewart was trying to hit him why wouldn't he have gone under the front tire also?

Of course they are - they know far more from watching a single YouTube video and trying, convicting, and sentencing Stewart before a single thing outside of the video is known.

Here's my take - Stewart had a higher line, saw the first car swerve (after gunning it) and tried to do the same. Meanwhile, as the first car went by, idiot kid kept coming down the track, into stewarts line, which he tried to brake, then go high or low to avoid, but it was too late. Idiot kid took the line, Stewart couldn't avoid, and idiot kid decided to jump onto his car. Idiot kid died, stewart gets pilloried because people have an axe to grind.
