We never worried about Xmas until the day after Thanksgiving.

Having said that, YOU can do whatever you want. I saw Christmas shit in the stores on Sept 9th this year.

No, it's not too early to start decorating for Christmas. It *is* too early to "light up" -- do that the day after Thanksgiving. But putting the decorations up -- no, not early at all.

It's *definitely* not too early to begin decorating. I wouldn't light up for another few weeks, but you need to get started now if you want to get done before Thanksgiving.

It's sad that the retail world now starts gearing up for xmas in September... I agree with those who say you shouldn't worry about it until after Thanksgiving.

Malls started last weekend or even before. Wasn't even Halloween yet. And yes, it is.

The GF had a three day weekend the weekend before Halloween so she did all the decorations that weekend. I have had 3 Christmas trees set up in the house now for almost 2 weeks.

I told myself I'd start turning the lights on when there's 50 days left. Turns out we had a nice snow fall and all, so it was perfect. I put the lights up in September, goes better without snow as I just go right on the roof, no moving the ladder every 2 feet like most people do it.

Not much decorations this year due to small budget. Next year I'm going all out complete with manger setup, both huge trees with lights, and maybe a a roof top santa setup.
