Case - 49 degrees C
CPU -
Idle: 55 degrees
Working: Anywhere up to 60 degrees

I need better air flow - but the back of my case can't fit a 80mm fan, not enough screw holes. I'm not sure of the size, but maybe it's a 60mm? And have 1 80mm in the front, intake.

Well your case temperature seems really high. No AC? Once you get your case temps down I'm sure the cpu temps will follow.

Right on, I took off my case side and put a house fan right next to the computer. Temperatures fell dramatically and have been stabalized at Case=38 degrees, and CPU=45 degrees.

97 C ???? and your cpu is still functioning? what kind of cpu is that? It's above safe operating temperatures for most cpus.

The room is a wired room in the attic. The PC's are 2 AMd's and 2 Intel's at 1 gig or better. This has been witnessed by Anantech Distributed Computing members as well as local News Media from NBC here in Atlanta.

I'm a 25+ year Electronics Hardware Design Engineer. I have helped design many products that have become standards today such as old time Modems from Hayes as well as ADSL modem.

You could say the room is my own personal "Burn in" room for electronics. As long as you run the electronics within the maximum design spec and have a heatsink/fan that stops THERMAL RUNAWAY you are OK. Heat failure can only occur from a Thermal Runaway condition not actual operating temp that is within spec.
