But if I don't get a cooler/case fans forever, how long would my CPU last?

EDIT: Several of my friends say the stock cooler on my CPU is pretty much a horseshit dipped in molten lava, puked by a fat lady.

The stock cooler should be adequate given proper case cooling. Even the Hyper 212 Plus/Evo needs proper case cooling.

For example: I put a PC together for my SO with my old parts and a new Hyper 212 Plus. The case I put it in was an old case and only had one front fan, so the CPU temps were pretty bad and prevented me from Overclocking the Athlon II X4 635 (default 2.9GHz). Adding a second fan at the rear allowed me to overclock to 3.5Ghz with very acceptable temps.

So all I am saying is that while yes, the Hyper 212 Evo will certainly help, it is also possible you won't need that if you give your case the cooling fan/s it needs.

Well it does look like it could need some proper cable management to get better airflow....I'll see if I can get case fans first then. Very well

One more thing before you do the fans:

Download CPUID's CPU-Z and Hardware Monitor. I want to see what the Voltage is when the CPU is at max, so you'll need to run a CPU stress test like IntelBurn Test.

With CPU-Z and HW Monitor running, start IBT. You don't need to run it long, just enough to run the CPU at max, then take a screenshot and post it here. It's possible your Voltages are much higher than they should be, and that's what I want to see.

What I got after running it after 5 mins:

Note: I played Warband for about 45 mins , after 5 minutes I started the test

Aaaaaannnd now I'm idling at 50 C, great.

Edit: Somehow my "game-overlay" on steam didn't turn off. Turned it off in task manager and the temperature is going down now.

So it's decided? I'll get 2 of these

One in the rear and one on the top (or is it one in the rear and one on the side? )

Also, does it matter if there's only 14-15cm distance between the rear of my case and the wall?

The top would be better than the side (a lot of the side air would go out through the video card and PSU), and 14-15cm is plenty.

i think your video is dumping heat in the case so some extra fans should fix that ?

I think since the gpu is dumping heat into the case maybe more exhaust would be best. But he should 2x Exhaust and 3x intake and 3x Exhaust and 2x intake and see which is better.

edit: After looking at the case again I realized it only has 2 intake mounts. He would have to mount the 3rd intake fan in the 5 1/4 bays if he wanted 3x intake.
Could also flip the rear fan which I think would be pointless.

I got one on the side, two on the top, one in the rear and I think one below the case (can't see so clearly, so many cables!)

ah yep you do have 1 on the bottom I didn't notice it.

so If you want try these configs and see what works best
3 intake 2 exhaust: positive pressure

3 exhaust 2 intake: negative pressure

3 exhaust 3 intake: balanced/even pressure? I think .
