Too old to run skyrim?

It's been several years since I upgraded my PC and I'm wondering whether my ps3 would have noticably better graphics than my PC for this game. Modding, of course, is a separate consideration but I'm trying to understand what I would or wouldn't be sacrificing simply from a framerate/graphics standpoint:

AMD Phenom 9850 2.5GHz Socket AM2+ 125W Quad-Core
MSI N260GTX-T2D896 OC GeForce GTX 260 896MB 448-bit GDDR3
4GB 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500)

not everyone is content with 1920x 1080 on medium details @ 35fps. and dips into the teens.

Those numbers are covered in poop but I imagine them to be semi accurate.
