I have an Abit IG7 motherboard I'm trying to build into an Antec SUPER LANBOY case. The backpanel coverplate that came with the motherboard isn't lining up quite right with the motherboard. Everything, but the audio connectors will pass through alright. There are 5 audio connectors on the motherboard and one has as much as 1.5 mm of interference.

I have a round file, but its too fine and it was going to take me a month of Sundays to enlarge all the holes.

What's a good tool to enlarge the holes or trim off the interfering portion of the plate.

With a decent size drill bit , 1/4in or so you can use the side to enlarge or ream the hole . A dremel with a grinding stone would be fine as well.

Thanks for the suggestion.

I'll use the drill bit ideal. I don't know why I didn't think of that myself, but I've had the cold from hell lately.

Are you kidding? The motherboard comes with a back plate for a reason. Pop out the stock one and put in the motherboards.

Please re-read my post. You'll see I'm talking about the plate that came with the motherboard.

Well there is something else wrong. Look carefully, take it apart if necessary. There is NO reason to have to alter anything to put this together. I'd make sure my standoffs were all the same height.

You need to kind of angle the port end of the board in first. Then kinda wiggle it in and press the other side of the board down. It is kinda tricky to get it in there, but you definitely should not need a file. You might also need to bend or break off some of the little bendy metal pieces.
