I effin hate Hung, he should have never been in the Top 3. But it seems that Top Chef always ends up picking the biggest prick for "Top Chef".
I agree with the Casey comment; I was hoping she'd win as well, but knew that she wouldn't after hearing the judges talking about her final meal.
However, I disagree that Hung shouldn't have been in the top 3. Of all the chefs on the program, he was the one who most consistently earned praise from the judges regarding his technical abilities, sophistication, and palate.
Beyond that, I personally didn't see him as a prick. Sure, he wasn't very helpful to the other contestants, but it's a competition; I might've done more to be a team player, but in the end, you're in it to win. He was also a bit arrogant at times, but confidence/arrogance can take you a long way. Notice how he was the only chef who actually appeared fairly at-ease when re-creating the halibut dish for Sirio Maccioni at Le Cirque? All of the other contestants appeared rattled and/or afraid to "step on the toes" of the resident chefs. Hung, on the other hand, went in with an idea in mind, and refused to let the incumbents intimidate him or affect his performance.
