I have a feeling that they won't really like it that much even though it will crush a 911, M3, etcetc. They'll jabber on about "Xfactor" or being a crappy American car... ride too harsh and interior sucks etcetc.
They just don't understand... besides, the ride wasn't bad on the ZO6 for what it was.

well i guess you can't really blame them... american cars didn't get better over the years... they just got bigger... taurus is a perfect example. the designs of the cars are also getting worse with all the "retro" offering... and i really think it is pretty laughable that american car manufacturers seem to be proud of their huge 3.5L pushing out 200 horses or so... when there are smaller and more efficient engines every where...
oh well that was my 2 cents. it is probably wrong...

They just don't understand... besides, the ride wasn't bad on the ZO6 for what it was.
well the reason that they don't like the american cars is because they are big and hunky and heavy as hell
sure a vette is probably more powerful than a 911 or a M3 and is faster in a drag. aka a faster "0-60", and a faster "quarter mile"
but what do you really get... a bunch of numbers... are cars really fairly evaluated by a bunch of numbers and stats? how about the actual track performance? take the lotus elise for example... stats-wise it is slower than the vette in every category...
but which one is a better track car? i think you should know...
that is why i really like what topgear is doing, testing the cars out on a track. that is also why topgear will never thrive in the states... people rather see cars burning out on the drag and see some numbers, not some guy in a white racing suit driving around a track...
