Crimes can be forgiven based on how much you like a person?

Man, I am sure glad raging meatheads aren't in charge of the laws in society.

This isn't a debate on whether he committed a crime or if it should be punished. They shouldn't fire him over it because they are literally paying him to be himself on camera. You can't expect Jeremy Clarkson to attract the audience he does while being well behaved.

So by no means is he innocent and if there were charges to be brought upon him by law enforcement that is up to them. You are really derailing the conversation to suggest this thread is about changing the laws of society.

Have you ever watched the other shows that Hammond, Jeremy and James do? They are all really fun to watch. Top Gear USA on the other hand...I'd rather watch paint dry.

I have. But I also am under the assumption that they use much of the same BBC staff as the Top Gear show.

I realized some time ago what is wrong with the US version, with the guys in England they convey the sense that they have led hard-working lives and now they are enjoying the ends, whereas the US version the feeling is you're watching a bunch of over-privileged rich kids riding their parents handed-down wealth May not be accurate, but that's the sense I get watching the show.

Not punching people in the face != well behaved.

Not punching people in the face = normal human being behavior.

You are expected to deal with problems without having to physically harm someone. He chose not to. So, ta.

If his following wants to excuse his criminal behavior, that's perfectly fine with me. My comments had to do with stating I am glad these same people aren't involved with the law itself.

So, yeah, no one is asking for charges not to be filed. But, you guys are out of your mind to think the BBC should excuse his behavior and allow him on the air - because, it's Jezza. We get it, you have a man crush on him, sorry the BBC doesn't feel the same about way about him.

Besides, he clearly has a following. You can follow his violent ass to a network that is perfectly OK with hosts who solve problems with assault. But, don't expect or demand the BBC is fine with his behavior.

Damn, was hoping to see video.

The fact that this guy tweaks the usual totalitarian-minded twits just makes me like him even more. BBC/TopGear would have to collectively lose their minds to cave in to the twit-brigade.

Done?

Jeremy could walk and start his own web series over night and his life would carry on.
This.

I propose adding a new cast member. "This is Big Tony. Big Tony's sole job on the show is to beat the crap out of Jeremy if he throws a punch of says anything racist."

Have you ever watched the other shows that Hammond, Jeremy and James do? They are all really fun to watch. Top Gear USA on the other hand...I'd rather watch paint dry.
I don't know why American television feels the need to remake a current Brit show as if we can't follow the original. They uniformly suck ass.

LOL!!!

He punched smacking the producer,.. over HOT FOOD.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...y-Clarkson-suspended-BBC-fracas-producer.html

The 54-year-old millionaire is being investigated for allegedly 'smacking' Oisin Tymon, 36, in the face after being told there was no hot food after a day's filming in Newcastle.

HAW!! Is this the geriatric slob you meatheads idolize?! Someone who throws a hissy fit over hot food? And, it's a smack, not even a punch.

This would explain the fawning over this dolt - he is full of hot air. Just words, he didn't even throw a punch,.. and it was over something totally stupid.

In all fairness, sounds like the producer is a douche nozzle himself, probably making a mountain out of a molehill. Holy shit,.. getting slapped by a man that is over a 1/2 century old... about hot food.

LOL!!!

EDIT: and it's SMACK. Not even a slap! Women slap. Tired old men smack. Ugh.

Nonetheless, it looks like I hurt your feelings; man up - JC would want you to.

Hurt feelings? Lol this is P&N.

I don't understand your point at all. No laws are being changed. And what do you mean by forgiven? He didn't punch the audience. I have nothing to forgive him for, neither do those that enjoy the show. This is just more entertainment. The punch is between the producer and Jeremy. Not that big of a deal, especially considering the overtly male cast and crew.

Clarkson has thrown plenty of punches that have made the news. He clocked Piers Morgan at an awards ceremony.
