I think the reviews are the most boring part of the show. I find when there are episodes where its nothing but reviews i turn it off and skip to one that has something more interesting. It was the challenges that made me fall in love with the show. In fact, i think if it was not for he challenges the show would not exist because that it was got people talking about it and what got so many people watching.

Disagree there too. The challenges add to the show but the reason it got so popular was that the reviews are so different than what we're used to. A big difference is that they have no qualms about bashing bad cars. Name one other car review show that has truly negative reviews of anything. But if you're not a car person then clearly you're not going to care about car reviews.

Except every person i know started watching the show because someone told them about some crazy stunt they pulled. I told my uncle about the car soccer and car hockey and so he watched the clip of it and then watched an episode and is now hooked. I can repeat that same story for alot of people. Its not the reviews that got them watching its the other stuff.

Some of the reviews get my heart pumping, especially with the high quality cinematography and true zeal for cars expressed through the reviews.

Top Gear US has started to grow on me, but I still don't think of the show as Top Gear. I actually kind of like Rut, I tolerate Tanner, but I can't freaking stand ferrara. The guy is the stereotypical embodiment of a new york ass and has no redeeming qualities.

It just sucks they chose 3 guys with really no personality and with terrible chemistry amongst themselves. All their banter and pranks are so forced it's cringeworthy. They would have been far better off finding 3 car guys who were all childhood friends that have true history and chemistry with each other. I seriously feel like I could grab two of my friends and make a far more interesting show if we had the budget and support that they have.

Just give the Impractical Jokers guys the car keys. Then you have a show.

Best episode for me was the c7 z06 law enforment vehicle. Tanner drove the balls outta thing. When he hit that bridge and caught the bike I was literally standing up and screaming at the TV because it was so awesome.

Also, the episode where theyre in greenland or something and try to get tot hat volcano was pretty entertaining.

Everything else is usually corny, Ferrara can't drive for crap and rit has no self esteem. I doubt any of them even change their own oil.

The guys from Motor Trend/Hot Rod's Roadkill show would make a great TG USA. Also maybe Jonny Lieberman from MT as well.
