PHO has the best soup i care to remember. Don't pass this hot deal if you like soup. Are there PHO resturaunts all over? I'm in the washington, d.c. area.
Do you know that all ramen have a lot of perservatives. Everytime when I cook them it takes me about 15 to 20 minutes. What I usually do is boil the water put the ramen into the pot for about 3 minutes than I take the whole pot and strain out the ramen and rinse in in cold water to get all the perservatives out. Than get another pot of water to boil, put the ramen back in and put the seasoning (MSG). Stir a little bit and you're ready for a healthy ramen treat.
Although it takes a while, it taste a whole lot better.
hans007,
Have you try buying Ramen from Sam's club. I'll eat my Ramen over the dormitory food any day. Those Thai TomYum ready to eat bowl is pretty good as well if you like it on the spicy side.
acedaddy323,
Yeah, I love Pho & BBQ Vermicelli. It's cheap & inexpensive fill up better than the price of a McDonald combo meals.
I haven't been back in Houston for awhile(I don't pay for my meal when I'm Houston anyway.) It used to cost $3.50 for a big bowl of those stuff.
Hey, maybe I should start a thread on these type of food to educate these American. Put some Vietnamese food in the dormitory cafeteria d*mmit. I'm tired of all the junk in the cafeteria.

$3.50 a bowl? geez.. it's liek $7 or soemthing here in MD (DC area).
And for the person who is from the DC area, there's a place in VA in Falls Church that is like a little vietnamese communtiy place. But there are several Pho restaurants lyin around. If you go up to Rockville, there's at least 5 down 355. heh.
I have tried Pho, my wife is Vietnamese, and I love Pho. I love eating in little Saigon cause I get a whole meal (pork chops, rice, vegetables) for $3.50. Yep that's right, and believe me you go home full!!!
Hey now, don't nobody make fun of UCLGay...I'm here at USC and we love our triple-stacked, 500 people to a classroom, brothers...no matter how weak their school is and what kind of perversions they are into.
=)
Try the fresh (not dried) saimin noodles from the Big Island (Hawaii). Also, if you can get a hold of S&S soup base, it tastes 100 times better than the stuff that comes with the dried noodles.
If you eat ramen for a last meal, and an earthquake hit, and you get swallowed into the earth, and someone's dog dug you out but didn't eat you cuz your body was so filled with preservatives, how long do you think your body will last down there if Mr. Johnson's great great great great supergreat great great grandsons' dog didn't dig you out?
HKSturboKID:
you're missing the point of these instant noodles ... if you're going to cook it like that I think you should just buy some real noodles. You're not buying them for the MSG pack are you? ;p
why are these things called ramen anyway ... they don't look like ramen and sure as he11 don't taste like ramen. They are a disgrace to the fantastic food known as ramen.
PHO is great, but that sh*t is addicting... too much MSG in that crap, I try not to eat it too much, plus it makes you thursty as hell after you eat cause of all that MSG....
get ur ramen at oriental supermarkets, they taste SO much better than that top ramen crap.....
1. You can try overclocking to 3+ mins although that's not recommended. Make sure you have enuff fans.
2. Rite Aids doesn't have a good customer service. If you're missing some accessories (aka. spices) you would need to contact the manufacturer directly. I don't have the number but you can always contact 1-800-555-1212 and ask them for it.
3. .20 off 1.00 coupon can be located in the local grocery stores' coupon books from time to time. Please check frequently and your work would be greatly rewarded.
Please don't buy everything in the store and fleabaying them for profit. Leave some for us who actually need them. So again, please don't follow the PS2 trend.
yeah, Shin ramyun is the best by far. i just bought a box of that stuff yesterday. a lot of grocery store chains like Albertsons and Ralphs carry that in Oriental food section. have you guys ever tried eating top ramen raw, right out of the package? i know it sounds gross, but it tastes pretty good actually, when sprinkled with the soup base on top.
hey namlook, that is a HOT deal on spam! can you pick up whole bunch for me? i'll paypal you the money.
