Sayy...are any of these dried "ramen" bowls vegetarian(And dont taste like crap, assuming you think the beef/chicken ones dont' taste like crap)? I could use some cheap non-nutritional food...

yea, i used to live off of that stuff over the last few years when i was in college too...even though all of it is so bad for you, it's still damn good when you're hungry. ramen, shin ramyun, rice noodles, pho...all the preservatives to help keep it fresh are still there even after a couple of rinses...the flavor additives are probably enough to kill you alone...who cares...most of us probably do enough damage to ourselves already as it is...add an egg or two, maybe some leftover food from that wedding banquet 2 weeks ago(you know...the one where your parents made you take all the leftovers that you pretended that you didn't need or want when you knew that that would last you for 2 more weeks of being poor???), or some kimchee and you're all set...

B`anh m`i.

Vietnamese out there would also know about Banh Mi. It's kind of like Subway sandwich, accept it tastes a whole lot better. Pungeontly toasted French bread stuff w/ different kind of hams & carrot & cucumber. It cost $1.50 each, or 5 or $4. Buy 5 and it feed the whole family(I'll eat 3 and my parents would eat the other 2.) Tastes alot better than Uppercrust($4 for a sandwich.)

EPCrew,
My boss made me drive some Kimchee from Houston,tx back to Austin,Tx so that she could save a few buck. Well, the pressure from the bottle busted the seals. 2 extra strenght bottles of Febreeze and 3 months later, my car still smell like SH!t! Now I am scare to ask any girl to go out w/ me in my car.

Pho in NY cost about $4.25 for the small bowl and $4.75 for the Big Bowl.
How about those tasty vietnamese spring rolls. I always get the big order.
Yum yum let me get some.

Vpham97: you should use a wet vac on your car - rent one at the store or try a weak one at the car wash....

HKSturboKID,
Spring Rolls are good(over either peanut sauce, or fish sauce, or shrimp paste sauce(that dark grayish sauce for the more adventurous.)) I don't usually order them in the restauraunt though. They are more for appetizers. It get expensive at $1 - $1.50 each. We just roll our own at home. We cook the stuffing(beef, shrimp, and other stuff I rather not describe.) right on the tables and roll it ourself. Make your own Spring rolls. Kind of like at Genghis Khan restauraunt.

lnguyen,
I feel for pain. Are you paying for the wisdom tooth removall yourself. Insurance. Since this is a Hot Deal forum may I suggest you go to one of those pain medication study. They will remove your wisdom tooth for free, plus compensate you for your time.

Yeah! We can do a group buy.
But then the shipping cost would kick our behind.
Cheapest rate of bookrate would be more than $1.

Just 'cause this thread is amusing the hell out of me, I thought I'd throw in my two cents:

Korean Ramyun is by far the best instant kind around, I recommend the following products

Shin Ramyun
Shin Cup Ramyun (faster, saltier, tastier!)
Kimchee Ramyun
Kimchee Cup Ramyun (fast! hot!)
Spicy Soya Ramyun (the package says meh-un kong ramyun)
Hae Mul Tangmyun - although they don't make it anymore as far as I know :frown:

If you love either shin or kimchee ramyun, you've got to try the cup stuff! Mmmm.. I'm going to get some right now!

After years of scouring Chinatown in Toronto and Montreal I figured out the BEST noodles of all are.... well I have no idea what they're called because there is only Thai on the box... but they're from Thailand, they're incredibly spicy, and the noodle packages have white, yellow and orange on them. A W E S O M E stuff! Ramen are not even in the same class as this delicacy.
