Woah good call. That game was such a blast when I first played it. Part 2 was great as well, however I never got into part 3.

You should play 3. It freakin' rules.

What pisses me off is that they compare FS games with Mario Cart. The red shell only made the list because everyone's played MC and all the other 'weapons' in that game suck. NO ONE plays Perfect Dark, and I never understood what was good about the Turok series.

The fact that they were considering console games and didn't post a weapon from Ratchet and Clank is a shame.

My personal favorite was the Suck Cannon, but the Bouncer, Visibomb Gun, Quack-O-Ray, RY3NO, etc. all kick loads of ass. The rainbow afro-lizer would've been awesome as well.

'This reminds me of the battle of @$%&^@# back in XX93, where I single handedly took on a horde of robot space pirate ghosts with nothing but a quack-o-ray and a half-charged crotchitizer.' Best soundbite ever.

I guess they just had to make some choices among similar style guns ... Gordon's Crowbar or Doom Marine's Chainsaw ... Quake 2's Railgun or CS's AWP.. etc. Pretty deceent list tho.

Too bad they disqualified special abilities, Salt and Swarm of Locusts from Requiem were pretty awesome. Also, totally the Vigorian Flails from Ninja Gaiden on the X-Box should be there.

I also think that logically any weapon from a game in which you're not actively using the weapon should be disqualified. Such as any Final Fantasy game where you tell them to attack but aren't specifically aiming or swiping. Which also disqualifies anything from Starcraft and the such games.

And since I just thought of it, the Crissagraem from Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. Talk about a game changing weapon.

How the hell does no weapons from the Serious Sam series or Hellraiser not get on that list.

The Cannon (a hand held cannon), grenade launcher and stake gun (allowing you to stake baddies to the wall) are some of my all-time favorites.

oh chainsawing is deifnitely satisfying... its so brutal, i love it too

but the railgun... its the railgun! nailing someone... especially on the one Q3 DM with all the jump pads... longest yard, maybe? can't remember

Railgun #1 'cuz it defined sniping in all other games.

Super Shotgun (Doom/Quake series) - I knew a guy who was unholy good with this thing in Multiplayer.

I agree with the #1 choice, but the energy sword from Halo 2 should not be on there.

Railgun. Never played quake much, but after playing it for a bit, it wins hands down
