You can vote for what you think is the best hot deals site at the bottom of the article.

Digg it, if you like the article.

The poll at quimble allows you to add options, so if you guys can add any site that's not there. I added gottadeal.com to the poll.

Isn't there some sort of competition between Anandtech Hot Deals Forum and Fatwallet Hot Deals Forum? In other words don't let Fatwallet find out or the deals as good as dead.

I was big into Anantechs Hot Deals Forum from 1996 to 1999. They were really active then, even class action lawsuits over a deal on a large CRT monitor. One guy even changed his name to WoundedMonitorChild. I left when Anandtech banned AOL accounts. ATOT is new to me, before I was always in Anantechs Hot Deals Forum. This is an interesting place, a lot of witty humor in here and as always good tech advice.

I remember the hey day, everyone starting going over to Tim's fatwallet because Anandtech wouldn't allow posting of coupon codes.

Fatwallet didn't care: http://www.law.berkeley.edu/news/pr/2002/fatwalletdec2.html

I remember that very well. Do not post coupon codes. Put on the locks. And the only place you could get the discount codes was to go to fat wallet. In the late 90's somebody started a thread saying you know your hanging around Anantech Hot Deals Forum too much if your doing the following: You're watching your computer on a 19 inch Samsung CRT Monitor...and the list went on and on...He described everything in my computer room. It was funny. And you also knew what a "caputo" is. But I forget the answer to that one.

The deals were also insane back then thanks to the dot com bubble. The coupons that some stores were offering were just ridiculous, haha.

1. Gottadeal
2. Fatwallet
3. Slickdeals
4. Techbargains
5. Anandtech

Your very lack of Gottadeal makes me not "digg it"

I've never even heard of your last 3 and I've been hot dealing since Anandtech was a geocities site and use to post scans of the weekly retail ads.

Mike, I moved your GottaDeal site up the list. After your post I browse around it some more and I gotta say, I like it. It's a very good site. I like the black friday section a lot, thanks for the link Rossman.

I also posted another article on the "newer" web2.0ish deal sites. Again, there's a poll there so you can vote for whichever site is your favorite.

I was just speaking from my hot dealing experience with my firm believe in the quality of Gottadeal. Although I wish I could claim it as my own, I cannot. Aside from forum posts, I have no envovlment in Gottadeal. It is Rossman's site and as you already pointed out, the Black Friday section is 2nd to no one.
