Adobe stuff
AIM updates - I can't actually update, but it pops up whenever I start it
iTunes/Quicktime - it won't install on my machine, thus I use awesome Mediamonkey
WMP - It has trouble playing every file type. One day it simply refused to play almost any video from my pr0n folder. Wtf?

I'll address some of these, but people have already mentioned the Adobe and Quicktime replacements (FoxIt and Quicktime Alternative.)

You should ditch AIM in favor of Pidgen, a free replacement that can also do yahoo and msn along with others. You shouldn't be using iTunes as a media player on XP. It looks like you have a replacement already, but Winamp and Foobar2000 are suitable replacements. WMP has many alternatives, with VLC being the easiest to use (as all the codecs are built in) or you could use Media Player Classic with a codec pack like K-Lite.

really? I don't find any of those annoying especially Adobe reader? I mean, how else can you read pdf files?

This your first day on the internet? Google "pdf reader" and pick any result at random. It will be better than Adobe.

I use Foxit.

It's hard to argue with any of those choices.

The only argument I'd make is that while Apple software pretty much blows chunks on Windows, it works well on Macs.

i think they intentionally make it extremely intrusive and shitty on PC's to give unwitting users the impression that " omg windows sucks it always crashes!" and to help nudge them to the mac dept. it's sad. i hate macs

Either you have a super-advanced futuristic quantum computer which actually runs Outlook faster than a team of cavemen can chisel out the individual bytes of each email out of stone (unlikely), or you have the patience of a saint. A dead saint.

FoxIt reader. 10x as fast.

NO excuse for dog-slow software in this day and age. That's why Adobe Reader and Outlook really irk me.

Yea, list doesn't make sense to me at all. I like Outlook/Exchange! The only thing I would truly agree with is pre-installed crap and Real stuff.
Adobe Reader seems to have improved lately, it runs much more quickly, so much that I stopped using FoxIt (which would sometimes render stuff funny...)

The people that put Outlook/Exchange on there need to be forced to use Lotus Notes for a day and see. I got Notes forced on me at my new job and I can tell you I'm willing to get a new job to get away from that piece of crap of an email/scheduling system. Holy hell mother of god, what a beatdown coming from all my previous jobs that used Outlook/Exchange.

1. adobe flash - evil - and they brag about domination on their website
... the pc I'm on now, with only several instances of ie7, is at 70% cpu usage currently - have to go find which page has some fucken pig flash ad running.
2. any of the 'big' anti-virus s/w
3. adobe reader - unstable but not nearly as bad as it used to be
4. any website that doesn't let you "go back" to the previous page
5. java - stopped using it years ago because of instability
6. pre-installed crap - blows but can be eradicated with some work
...
. quick time/itunes install on pc - not an apple hater

who ever put outlook/exchange on that list is a fucking moron and i bet they are lotus notes fanboys.

Java i have to agree with, ever look in your add/remove and see how many versions you have installed? each one is 100+mb. i had a clients pc that had 5 old versions still installed... WTF? when you update java it does not remove the old version... i dont get that at all and its the only program i have seen do this.

I use it both ways for 'logical' groupings.
