Its already too late. 1.0.4 has revitalized the D3 community as strong as ever. They missed their chance with the 1-2 months that went buy where everyone stopped playing D3 and would have bought this

I dunno about that. I know many people that are completely done with D3 and Blizzard in general. Sour taste lingers forever.

I guess, but most of those people shouldn't have purchased D3 at all in the first place.

Personally I've moved on to playing SWTOR on the F2P

Truth be told, the shit storm that was the D3 release stopped a lot of people from buying it at all (like me). I don't think Torchlight 2 hurt themselves much yet... but they can't wait forever. If they push it back to a holiday release they might have an issue.

Yeap. The D3 cluster stopped my purchase (and saved me $60). Maybe MAYBE when its in the $5 bin I'll pick it up. But that will be in a decade or two.

I've been with Mythos/TorchLight since the alpha stages of Mythos and loved every minute of it. I'll be impatiently waiting until release day.

Yeah 1.04 is proving to be what most folks would have liked to have been playing since launch. Major class upgrades/rebalances, AH tweaks, elite mob adjustments, etc. The Paragon system gives you yet another reason to grind inferno, too.

I'm still looking forward to to TL2, but I'm probably going to be on D3 this weekend - even though I have the head-start opportunity with GW2.

Gamespot and other online retailers have Q3 2012 for release date which supports end of Sept date..

too bad, because I've dam bored with gaming lately besides playing the LT2 beta

They already said they have finished polishing Acts 1, 2 and half of 3. Act 4 is a mini-level, so I can see them finishing all the polish in 2 or 3 weeks.

Lots of competition right now, with Darksiders2 and Sleeping Dogs just launched, and BL2 and AC3 coming out in Sept/Oct for all platforms. They might do better if they wait a little bit.

I have pre-ordred this game on Steam some while ago. Got Torchlight 1 in this deal. Haven't had time playing many games anyway. But looking forward to this.

Yep I skipped D3 and am super glad I did. I have some time on my hands... I am not getting Guild Wars 2 like planned because of the lack of item trading in the game, and come holiday time I will be way too busy with other releases to dedicate any real time to an rpg.

Have not logged in since i hit max lvl the first week and was farming inferno and getting crap loot.

Yeah, 1.04 fixes a bunch of stuff but also makes it very clear what is wrong with the game. I make ten runs and find absolutely nothing... I will never find a personal upgrade as a physical resist monk, and I may never actually find a legendary.

The drop rates are so low that only the really really obsessive are enjoying it. I loved D2 because I could play for an hour and something might drop for me. Diablo 3 I can run all day and find absolutely nothing. Just not very fun... No carrot at the end of the stick!

My post from May 2 before release was concerned that the RMAH could threaten the game:

Why isn't just making a great game and profiting by selling it enough, without a scheme for making even more money with itemization supporting a money extractor auction?

They could just implement the auction for no extra cost for players who buy the game; but now they have an itemization incentive to make it drive auction transactions.
