Torchlight 2, My Impressions... (updated: 5/10/12 with Final Impressions)

Yeah happened to me this morning as well, the whole level was repopulated.

I found the robot drum in case anyone is interested:

Its in the first part of the winter part of act 1, in the dungeon with the frost spiders where you have to rescue the ladys dad or something. There's a locked door that opens up when you light all the unlight poles and kill the boss.

There is a stash and a shared stash (I believe) right as you start going down the stairs towards the exit. I am right in the middle of a quest so I can't give a better description, but the stashes are there.

Ya the outlander is kidna meh. Best i've seen is max glaives and spec focus.

I've been lucky with shotguns and my outlander is awesome.

We already know the answer to question 2. The reason is because people bought this game from other sources not just steam. So in order to get everyone to play together with one friends list they made the runic account. Many people bought the game from runic directly and don't use steam.

How the whole Diablo 3 fiasco has affected their stance when it comes to customer relations.

I think I have a bugged item. I have a gold cannon (Big Dog) that I put a gem in. I smashed the gem to put in a better one but it won't take it. Anyone else have trouble like this?

Edit: Well, LTR, there are weapon level limits in the gem descriptions.

-Why did they not include a full re-spec, since we all know it'll be one of the first mods made and downloaded?

At the end of act 2 you get a new merchant in town that will have a small selection of spells (maybe 1-4). It pays to check her out every time you go to town. I've picked up some good passive spells, and some upgraded spells for my pet.

One of the vendors do sometimes sell spells. Not the blacksmith or general goods.

Damn this game is so much better than the original Torchlight. And without wanting to start a huge argument, me and my brother are playing it and enjoying it so much more than Diablo 3.

It's just well done all around. Taking my time and exploring everything and really enjoying some of the phase rifts or whatever and the different objectives each has.

So far I'm liking all the classes though I'm playing the embermage the most right now.

Twinking is so easy in this game, it feels like cheating D:. Found a unique cannon item lvl 45 on my outlander. Also found an enchanter on a map that gives stats but never disappears. Bought some lower lvl gear, enchanted them with +stats and managed to get enough +str on the gear for my engineer to wear the cannon at lvl 11.

I basically own elite mobs like they were casual. Also put a +73 damage gem in the cannon and found a +fire damage enchanter on my engineer, enchanted +47 fire damage to the cannon. :whiste:

You should finish the game on average at lvl 50-55 if you do full clears of all the areas. Lvl 100 is the max lvl for the unmodded game.
