Between this and Project Eternity, the RPG genre is saved!
I am FAR more excited about Divinity: Original Sin than either Torment, or Project Eternity. It just plain looks like a really fun game. I especially like how indepth they made the combat. That said, I pledged for all 3.Nobody cares about poor Divine Divinity :{

The game genre SCRRRREEEAAAMMMMS for multiplayer. I had the best memories playing BG and similar games in LAN with friends/room mates. The game looks great but I won't likely touch it due to the absence of MP. I am not talking about MMORPGs, but the ability to co-op play with one or more friends.

In theory perhaps - in practice no. Complex (multi-storyline-threaded )CRPG's are way more suited for singleplayer experience.The game genre SCRRRREEEAAAMMMMS for multiplayer. Dugeonhack works fairly well as multiplayer, being somewhat more simple/linear.
I agree! Dumb question, but what does "C" stand for in CRPG?RPGs with uber strong stories, plot, dialog, and characters do not lend themselves well to multiplayer at all. One player makes all the decisions, talks to all NPCs, and generally role plays the game while every other human player is reduced to a mule or sword arm.
C stands for Computer. CRPG = Computer Role Playing Game.
I agree that games like BG don't scream 'Multi-player'. Although I have played NWN multi-player, it is no where near the experiences of my youth playing DnD. Online with strangers you simply do not get the depth of role playing that I would want to see in a game like this. And I would MUCH MUCH MUCH rather have a good strong story line than Multi-Player. Any day of the week. let those who are absolutely dying to MMO games, go play things like WoW. I'll stay with BG:EE and project Eternity and Planescape, etc...
Why not do continuing funding like Star Citizen and Starbound?
First gameplay footage of Torment Tides of Numenera.. :awe:
It looks great. They nailed the atmosphere of mystery and wonder it looks like. I still wish they would have gotten the original Planescape setting though..
i hope there is enough combat to justify all the skills and stats. there's no use for them in a quest-like adventure.

Earth a billion years in the future? Could be fascinating.
As an aside, I'm not sure if Earth in a billion years would be survivable for modern humans but let's assume they adapted...:biggrin:
