Azureus's new update makes it much better than it used to be - it includes all the features that were in BitComet that needed to be in Azureus. highly recommended.

I also recommend uTorrent. I used Azureus for a long time but it bogged down my PC a lot.

uTorrent seems to slow down my internet more than Azureus did for some reason, but other than that it's much better as far as system memory usage goes. Just try it out.

azureus... at least for me, tried utorrent for about an hour last night but my speeds with it were only in the 35kb range when azurus was in the 60s-150s (hovered at around 130kb/s) for the same file and torrent. Maybe it's just my settings, but i left just about everything at default.

Any program that doesn't need an installer is a damned good thing. Been using uTorrent since .90 IIRC, definitely recommend it.

Yea, I found that too, but Azureus used up too much system resource (a whole whopping 5-10% CPU on Dual Core) on some big downloads.

So now I use utorrent. They all do the same thing, it's just a matter of opinion.

utorrent and/or bitcomet. Bitcomet if you're behind a firewall/NAT where you cant open ports. utorrent is great but doesnt do udp-nat traversal (which is the only way to connect two firewalled clients.)

i dont care if azureus is bloated. its fvcking good. why drive a crappy little Yugo (uTorrent), when you can have a full sized luxury sedan (Azureus). i tried to use uTorrent, but it just didnt have enough. thats only my opinion though. i download most of my torrents at night anyway, so i dont need the computer. also, it never uses more than 60mb ram, even when i have 7 or 8 torrents running.
